Our room (Budget room without AC) was a bit hot, but for one night that was not a problem.

The location is perfect, in the middle of Chinatown, you can go almost everywhere by walking. Also, the owner is really nice and friendly, he gave us several tips to visit and enjoy Malacca. And very important, the bed is really confortable ;) I definetly recommend !

Not great if you have mobility issues, as you need to climb down stairs every time to use the toilet. As the building is a bit old, there's some leakages during heavy rain but nothing drastic.

Amazing location near Jonker Street and the Old Town, without being too noisy. Very friendly staff, especially Jo, who gave lots of tips for the area, and even offered a ride to the bus station. Room and everything was comfortable and clean, and even a light breakfast was provided.

The reception staff were lovely and have us good tips on where to eat and what to do. Including a hidden secret popular Indian restaurant, slightly out of the center 🥰

It got quite hot in the night, as there is no AC. However, there is a fan which makes it a bit more comfortable.

Lots of tips and help from the host, even helped me getting to the bus station in the middle of the night. Tidy room, cheap and comfortable for a short-term stay.

Jo, the host, was incredibly kind with us. We had a bus problem the day We arrived and he stayed awake to welcome us. He was really helpful with everything and proposed to drive us to the bus station. The hostel is very clean.

The triple room windows face the street and are pretty thin. At 6am I woke up to the call for prayer from the nearby mosque. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re a light sleeper. I would suggest host add towel hooks or a shelf near the upstairs sink to put belongings. Bathroom light switches weren’t labeled so it was a little confusing which switch was which. Also a sign with some of the information would be helpful!

All things considered this place is exceptional. The host is very friendly and committed, always cleaning the facilities and making sure the toilets are well stocked and refreshed. Breakfast is very basic but you are just a few yards away from numerous cafes and spots to get food. There is also a Watson’s literally down the block, and a 711 a couple blocks away. We arrived on the weekend and got to enjoy the amazing night market (only on weekends!) and the rest of downtown just one block away from the hostel. The triple room though very basic cooled down fairly quickly with the AC.

I spent a weekend at this guesthouse and had a wonderful experience. The room was clean and comfortable. The AC and wi-fi was reliable. The bathroom is shared but clean. The location is superb and walking distance to Jonker Street and other attractions. The staff is friendly & helpful – Denesh is great at offering recommendations and likes to travel himself! The guesthouse is also very affordable and I recommend it for budget travelers & backpackers. I will be coming back to this guesthouse in future trips to Malacca.

All and move is question and when you can hear other people sometime but only if they’re being very loud. since we stayed only one night, everyone was already asleep and that wasn’t a problem.
