It is a amazing experience to stay at tunamaya resort..staffs are very friendly and helpful..from welcoming us during our arrival until we departed from the hotel..the resort is very serene and it is good place to go for some healing…plus we had wonderful time snorkelling at tioman island as it offers very magnificent corals and variant shades of fishes..overall tioman is a great place to take a break from hustle and bustle of city life while enjoying its nature and islands..😊😎

Food options in the restaurant was limited. Some were hit, some were a miss. On a busy day, especially on weekends the kitchen and crew struggled to meet demand. Phone was not working so sometimes we had to walk to reception for things we needed. Back of the resort, closer to the forest there are a lot rubbish thrown into the stream of river. The pollution is not pleasant to the eyes and affects the nature.

Waking up to the view of the ocean! It was an absolute pleasure to the eyes. The reception was kind enough to arrange for a boat transfer to the resort when we arrived earlier than the scheduled time. Wifi connection was good. You get to drink “Mountain Water” Prior to arrival, the reception responded to all our inquiries in timely manner. Pictures are true to the listing.

Food varieties is very limited. Tried every single options in the restaurant as only one restaurant available in the resort. No much vegan or vegetarian options available.

the food menu could be improved as there were a few items that were not available due to a faulty kitchen appliance. As we were travelling with small children, they didn't have any hot chocolate available either, but it wasn't a show-stopper.

There weren't many people at the resort so it was pretty nice and peaceful and the staff were friendly. They had water dispensers at strategic locations so getting bottle refilled was convenient

However, some small things - wifi is not free in the room. Only free at the restaurant/check-in area. Also, the spa is temporarily closed and we not notified until we asked. Some parts of the outdoor deck area needed some repairs and the deck chairs needed to be cleaned.

The whole check-in process and stay were overall good. The staff took care of most of the work and we enjoyed our stay.

they need to check the room before the guest check in, my room phone spoiled and the stairs case light also spoiled we report to the hotel staff but they didn’t do anything until we check out, it’s dangerous for family who have kids.

It would have been an excellent stay if there were more activities to discover. Secondly, the food and spa are overpriced. Not much varieties on the food menu. There was one part when the food came 45 minutes later. Most dishes which we ordered were salty. If management can try and improve based on the feedback given, it will be great for tourists who come to stay. Also, the tv and fridge wasn't working when we arrived. However, the staffs managed to get it fixed after complaining. Thanks for that. :)

We stayed 3 days 2 nights. Loved the ambience and the view was beyond our expectation! Simply amazing. We enjoyed our stay there. The view from our garden resort was also beautiful. The staff were friendly from every department. Thanks to Diana, Ika and Lynn for chatting and helping us out during the stay. The stay was quite short and beautiful, could've stayed longer. I would come again.

Clearly and understandably the place is trying to get the resort up and running again after the covid lock down. Good effort but execution lacks behind and you would expect value for the money the resort asks.. arguably the worst breakfast I have experienced in the region, at the spa appointment staff was 30min late when I had to rush putting the kids to bed, our room was left open after cleaning, restaurant staff didn’t seem highly motivated. just some examples.

Beautiful spot, beach cabin right on the beach, kids loved just roaming around and doing their thing. we saw a baby shark right from the pier.

The resort itself is a little rundown and if you're not there for snorkeling or diving, there isn't much else to do. However it definitely is the perfect place to unwind after a hectic diving trip. Food definitely isn't cheap and may seem overpriced to some, but if you aren't a picky eater, believe you will be satisfied If you're looking to kick back, relax and just listen to the waves this is the perfect getaway.

The view from the beach cluster villa is wonderful and the rooms are clean and relatively spacious. Surprisingly, snorkeling in the waters directly in front of the resort was incredibly fruitful. Though it might not look it from the jetty or the beach, the amount of marine life at the doorstep of the resort was astounding. We even managed to see a baby shark and a sea turtle However the Highlight of the entire resort are the staff. Surain, Diana, Ika and Roslin all went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after and always with smiles on their faces. They are all incredibly friendly and accommodating and really made me and my partner at ease.
