We really enjoyed our stay at Vintage House. It was in a great location, the bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning was powerful. Our host Cheah went above and beyond to help us during our stay, sending us lots of helpful recommendations for things to do, and helping us to book our onward travel.

The best part about this property is the owner/staff. She is simply wonderful. Very helpful, kind and accommodating. Furthermore, the inside of the property is very beautiful. It’s a classic interior that does indeed feel ‘vintage’. It’s all simple, but very nice, clean, and feels like home. It’s also located quite centrally located. Definitely recommend.

I gave house is situated a 10 min walk from the ferry port and bus station. We used normal service busses to take us to Panang Hills and to the National park, which both start from the bus station, making an ideal location. Also easy to walk to Armenian Jalan and all the other interesting places to visit in Georgetown. Vintage house is basic, but the bed was super comfortable and the shared bathroom was super clean. Coffee making facilities and filtered water to fill up your bottle with was a lovely extra. The host, Cheah was very friendly and had lots of information to share. All in all we were exceedingly happy with our stay.

The old wooden staircase is a bit dangerous Room is not good for sound proofing, hence all the movement, the talk next door could be heard easily.

There was nothing we didn't like.

It's just a really great little place to stay. The hotel is old and quirky but delightful. The lovely lady owner couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was good. She put us on WhatsApp and sent us details of places to visit, where to eat, and some events as it was the end of the Chinese New Year. The room was dark and cool, with the loo and shower in the room. The balcony is great for watching the world go by, but it was ever so hot. Tea, coffee, water, and cereal were all available in the communal area. We loved it. And it wasn't noisy at all. Great location, we'd definitely go back again.

The bathroom is a unit inside the room, rather than a ensuite, but it works well and there were no leaks.

Fantastic place to stay in George Town on a budget. The room was big and comfortable. Great A/C. Nice to have two access door to the room (and locks, of course). Great location to walk anywhere!

Cheah was the sweetest! She immediately makes you feel welcome and gives you recommendations. We were lucky to be in Georgetown during Chinese new year so she sent me a invitation to a festival, it was amazing! Any questions she would answer right away. The place was super clean, with a mosquito net above your bed, clean bathrooms and a clean watertap.

The bathroom in the room is a bit unusual and doesn't allow privacy if with someone else but everything works perfectly and there are also shared ones.

Historical building well furnished and with a great old school vibe right in the heart of Georgetown heritage area :) The owner was very welcoming and accommodating! Lots of info and help with luggage, payment, taxis, fresh water always ready for guest use. Simply very good vibe here 💚
