Water heater wasn't working too well. Room a bit dark. Can hear people moving around upstairs. Booked the room about three weeks before the stay with free cancellation but realized two weeks later the same room was cheaper, so cancelled the previous booking and rebooked.

Great location by the river. Cute room with 3 beds. Loved the decor. AC worked well. Check in and check out was fairly straightforward. Great complimentary drinks like coffee, milo and tea.

For customers who plan to have a quiet night or wishes to bring children to stay here, this might not be the place as there are nearby bars and pubs and the sound insulation is not as good. The smell from cafeteria downstairs can also seep through the windows (mine was facing the inner courtyard) so those who are sensitive with that in their rooms might need to reconsider. Luckily I have no issues with that.

The proximity to the city and tourist attractions are very close and there are so many cafes and bars around. The room is also very comfortable and suitable for solo/couple travellers. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. They have went through great lengths to help me sort out my belongings when I left them after checking out. Shout out to them for their honesty and great hospitality. 😄

The property needed some maintenance like the toilet doors were hard to close and open having creaking sound which can be heard miles away, balcony need major repair as the wooden floor boards where bad and damaged can break if not careful better to avoid standing in the balcony ! Fan and aircon small for a big room.

Noisy below, especially on Friday and weekend mornings. The kopitiam opens for business and a little noisy if you are a light sleeper.

The location, very strategic as there’s coffee shop nearby and on weekends, there’s a kopitiam with delicious varieties of spreads for breakfast. Walking distance to Jonker Street, and key attractions with Malacca town.

the balcony's wooden floorboard was a bit run down, one or two panels are broken/ with holes - can be quite dangerous. one must walk very carefully on the balcony. building owner must repair this.

For this staycay, my friends and I aim at just walking around Jonker, cafe hopping and strolling along the river. We are not fond of driving around the area, and Wayfarer delivers just that. Check-in and check-out was smooth, building area was clean, our unit was clean, bed was comfy, toilet was clean with no foul smell whatsoever, the hot shower worked well. Wayfarer is just next to the river, and our unit has a balcony that overlooks the river - so nice. Wayfarer gave us complimentary bottle mineral water, coffee and choc sachets, instant noodle hot cup. Overall very nice.

One of the room was filled with smoke smell. Apparently the previous guests smoked inside the room. This was raised with the owner and she immediately arranged for the room to be ventilated and sheets changed.

1) we are living at balcony room. noisy on Sat night till mid night. 2) family member left a white jacket. Informed premise and given address and urgency. As family member is flying off after 4 days. No update and no sign of the white jacket till now. It's already 9 days. Not so professional 3) there were 2 dispenser in the bathroom. No label of shampoo or bath gel.

There is no designated parking exclusively for the guest. It mentioned in the guest pdf info we can park at the public parking area but during the stay the public parking area is closed due to Deepavali celebration.

I like the convenient location which is near to the Jonker Walk (200-300m). There's a lot of cafes & stores walking distance to explore.

TV facilities need to be improved. Kopitiam near the room are quite noisy in the morning. The design and location is the most attractive part to stay, owner response to guess is fast and good, so it is a recommended place to stay overall....

The pubs next door and the morning coffee shop noise will kill your sleep. Also to add, as it's wooden floor board and doors, sounds do travel with heavy foot/weight guest or doors opening.

Since its a shophouse concept, my room on the 3rd floor, theres no lift. I had to climb he stairs. For old people with knee or leg problem, please choose a hotel with better facilities. The flight of stairs are high.

The location is strategically by the populae Melaka river. There are lots of cafes and restaurants around. Walking distance to the famous Jonker Street, the clock house and other historical sites.

Quicker resolution to air-conditioning issue would have been nice. Security needs upgrading with poor quality locks on the bedroom door.

Facilities not differently-abled friendly, water leak (???) or rain very audible at night, rear entrance grill should be opened up a bit more, button to unlock exits should be placed in more obvious spots.

The premises is well-maintained and is clean, all provided facilities are working, snacks and drinks provided are a welcome surprise. No-frills, comfortable stay.
