Breakfast is good but it would be great if it was included in the room's price. They are building new chalets, I appreciate it's not possible to do building work silently, but hearing hammering at 7.30 AM was not great.

The chalet are gorgeous and the bed is very comfortable. you are literally on the beach and I could see the sea from the bed.

Rebecca is one of the most amazing and lovely host. She was helpful with a smile on her face all the the time we had the most amazing time there. The staff were warm and welcoming and even going beyond their tasks to assist us. Their food is amazing especially their pizza. The location is the best around as it is close to all the water sports activities and the lodge has a beautiful walkway towards the beautiful white sandy beach. The tide in this area leads to the most amazing views. I had my best stay in Vilanculos at this lodge and cant wait to come back again and stay there.

Took a while to get used to no wifi in the chalets, but turned out to be a nice break from ‘the outside’ world.

great access to the beach and to the town of Vilankulo. accommodation is simple with everything you need, and very peaceful. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Open dining area with Wifi and the food was good and very reasonably priced compared to other places close by.

Honestly in not backpacker budget, but everything in Vilankulo is so expensive! We hadn’t expected that. Also the Food is nothing special but the options for breakfast are good and they offer complementary tea/coffee from 7am to 9am

This place is really nice to stay in Vilankulo, we stayed in one of the beach front rooms and the views are just amazing! Also they have a terrace you can enjoy and a little garden. Rabeca, the manager, is really nice and ready to help in everything you need. Thank you for everything!

nothing springs to mind the roads from Mutare are long and very bad but when you get to the resort it paradise.

Top notch beachfront lodging and more! The great team including always in motion Rabeca, Victor and both Alexanders are attentive and responsive and for them alone I'd return. Add excellent lodging + super food and bar. For divers it is a 3 mins walk down the beach to Odyssea Dive.

The food and drinks were epically slow--it became a running joke in our crew. As in, 45 minutes for a mixed drink or juice. Certainly fine if you are on vacation and not super hungry, but if you are, grab a snack for the wait!

Basic backpacker/Hostel on the beach, that gives a good jumping off point for exploring Vilanculos and the surrounding area. The staff were all very kind and helpful--they assisted with connecting us to various resources in town (buses, boat tour, laundry etc.). They also have a restaurant/bar on site which is a nice add (in addition to having a communal kitchen). For the area (many higher priced accommodations) the value is decent, as it is one of the only budget options available. Also, a tip: would book online instead of in-person as we were able to get a better rate on line (through booking.com), than our friends did in person.

The water pressure was low in the shower and sink. Wasn't a massive problem just something to note.

The beach hut was gorgeous and right next to the beach. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The staff were very attentive.

The cabins do not have bedside lights so reading in the evening was difficult.

Great location, close to town and amenities. Nice bar and restaurant on site. Rabeca is a great hostess and organises trips and taxis for you with a smile.

The beach is beautiful but very affected by the tides. If the tide is high you don't have beach and sun in the afternoon.

The staff is very kind, educated and helpful. The care of the manager, always assuring you can enjoy your experience in Vilanculos and not only in their in the hotel. The friendly environment between travelers.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Baobab Resort! The manager Rabeca and her staff went out of their way to help me after I arrived from Tofo in need of medical attention, finding me an English-speaking doctor and organising transport. Rabeca's friendly smile each morning was a delight, the food at the restaurant was excellent (including their famous pizzas), and they can easily organise group or individual boat tours to various islands nearby. The rooms are just a few metres from the beach so you can fall to sleep to the sound of the ocean each night. I loved it so much I extended my stay by a week. Highly recommend!

Only the kitchen equipment was lacking some stuff, but you can always ask for what you need and they bringt it from the other kitchen.

Baobab is right at the beachfront and close to the activities in the area. If you do not want to cook yourself, you can choose something from their menue. The kitchen is amazing and staff friendly!

What a wonderful stay! So relaxing and peaceful, a perfect location on a quiet stretch of beach with dhows sailing in view from your room and the most wonderful sunrises over the water to wake up to :) we also loved the excellent peri peri chicken, the fresh coconuts, good coffee, the lovely friendly staff and all the many hammocks. A special thanks also to Rabeca, she is such a wonderful host and was so helpful in organising things for us like airport transfer, excursions etc. Everything was easy and so efficient, as well as generally being an obviously talented hospitality manager and all round lovely person to spend time with. Everyone made our stay special, the staff are lovely. They also had a tip sharing system with tips made at end of a stay recorded in a log book, so that they can be shared with all staff who work at the property - I really appreciated this, it's a great system that would be great to see in other places too. We look forward to our next visit :)
