Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyOur room was not cleaned the first day, but i think It was a misunderstanding.
Very beautiful lodge in a good position to visit Sossusvlei. Rooms were very large, staff was friendly, dinner and breakfast very good. There Is a swimming pool where you can stay in total relax . I can surely recomend this lodge.

United KingdomThe night-time stars and scorpion tour is not worth the cost (even though its not very expensive).
Very spacious, well equipped, and spacious room - it's more than a room! Very good food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excellent staff - professional, attentive, warm, and fun. Special mention to Berry and Helena. We did the guided tour to Sossusvlei dunes and deadvlei with Silva and Gift and we enjoyed it very much, including being with them. We spent one day relaxing by the pool and really enjoyed the peace and quiet.

United KingdomNothing!!
Beautiful accommodation in a stunning remote & tranquil setting. Luxurious yet rustic, the chalet and the camp as a whole had a wonderful relaxed vibe. The food was delicious and the staff were warm, friendly & welcoming. The infinity pool with the mountain backdrop was the perfect place to chill after a long drive or a hot day of hiking in the dunes of Sossusvlei!

South AfricaLoved everything of this property to be honest. Just a note: The road from Swakopmund/Walvis Bay is dreadful (that was where we came from) but it's no fault of the property. Just a heads up to others, drive slowly and vigilant and try to not drive at night. The road is quite bumpy and animals roam freely in surrounding areas. We had a zebra run out of the bushes into the road. Amazing but little nervous experience. So just a heads up, be patient you'll get there :)
Beautiful lodge, surrounded by natures beauty. The infinity pool was throroughly enjoyed in the African heat. Even better you could see warthogs and oryx's roaming around whilst taking a dip. The food and drinks was also very good. The rooms were spacious and clean. The AC much needed was very appreciated. The staff was all welcoming, friendly and willing to attend to us. The best part would be the "sleeping under the stars" experience. They setup an extra bed with sparkling wine and snacks on top of your chalet roof, to enjoy the starlight and you have the option to sleep outside. We decided to head back inside just before midnight because even though I enjoyed the starlight I wasn't going to sleep outside :) it was still an amazing experience. For our checkout day we had to check out early morning, they were so sweet and setup breakfast for us to ensure we have something to eat before we left. Thank you!

South AfricaThis lodge is truly a beautiful African experience. The staff go the extra mile, especially Lance. The deluxe rooms are stunning with beautiful views. The rooftop beds are so different and special to watch the stars. The infinity pool overlooking the waterhole and mountains is breathtaking. It was so special watching the animals come to drink water everyday during breakfast and dinner. We had the most amazing time and highly recommend this gem of a place.

AustriaThe shower head in my bathroom was spraying water in all directions, and the bathroom could be better spruced up (nothing iggy though).
The pool and the view of the mountains. The space of each unit is also very generous. And when the lights are off, look up and enjoy the stars.

South AfricaNot a full moon … so we could have seen more stars 🤣
A wonderful location to relax and enjoy the desert, but nicely away from the main part of Sossusvlei. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to help. The tour to Sossusvlei was superb with great guides.

GermanyOur stay was amazing. Everyone was super kind and helpful!! We want to mention 2 people in particular. First is the cook who is top notch! I don't know how he made those delicious meals, considering we were in the middle of the desert! Second is Lance; we went on the "Sossusvlei Excursion" with him and we had the best time! He is very knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the animals, dunes, history and (we also did the "Stargazing & Scorpion" Walk) the stars. He is so fun to be around and really made sure our stay was memorable.

AustriaWe would have loved to stay one more night!
The quality of the Deluxe - Chalets was superb! With the possibility to sleep on your own rooftop and see all the stars, it is unique. The infinity pool with a view into the Namib-Naukluft Park, the sunset game drive, the exceptional food, the superb service of everybody, including our repaired tire - we can only recommend this lodge! We will be back!

United StatesThe only thing that I'd recommend is to sell wine (good wine) by the glass. the only way to have a glass of wine was to buy a whole bottle.
The facilities are gorgeous -- sparkling pool next to a large and beautiful patio all overlooking a beautiful mountain range. The rooms were gorgeous, clean, with fresh crisp cotton sheets and beautifully designed with a large plate glass window with a dessert view. The sunsets were gorgeous and there were loads of different, comfortable outdoor spaces to soak in the view, the heat and the lovely setting. There are wild warthogs and Oryx all over the show and on view nightly. We LOVED this place. The staff was great too. The food was good. It's in the middle of NO WHERE - so if that is your thing, this is the place.

FranceFor the price we pay, we expect the rooms to be extra clean and no equipment issues. Unfortunately one bed sheet had a red dry mark on it so we asked to change it. Some water was sinking from the air conditioning and our bathroom door handle was broken. There was also some dust in the room. A bit disappointing to be honest.
The swimming pool offers a magic view on the mountain and animals. It is really relaxing. The staff was very nice and professional.
