Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe beautiful rooms are missing the soft touches Eg. I had to go hunting for the bottled water in a small out of the way refrigerator despite widespread glasses in appropriate places. Loft apartments are gorgeous but getting a suitcase up and down the spiral stairs to the sleeping area isn’t easy. I had to go back down to the little refrigerator to get bottled water. So gorgeous but needs a little more thought by whomever is in charge of the rooms.

South AfricaBreakfast was disappointing. Soft poached eggs ordered, but arrived hard. Omelette ordered without peppers, but arrived with peppers and very stingy on the cheese. Overall breakfast was bland and not in keeping with the hotel standard. Service on rooftop bar very slow. Please replace Cremora packets at the coffee stations in the room with real milk!
Nicely fitted bedroom and beautiful bathroom. Great bar on the roof of the hotel with a nice view of the city.

This is my fourth stay and I would not stay anywhere else before and after an epic Namibian Road trip. The loft rooms are fantastic and the courtyard bar, sky bar, steak house and cape town fish market on premise will make sure you are well nourished and refreshed. The only place I will stay in Windhoek. The staff is exceptional too.

South AfricaWe were a bit troubled by the patrolling security personnel brandishing automatic weapons. Perhaps that was due to visiting dignitaries from other countries staying at the hotel who came to attend the funeral of Namibian State president a day or what after we left. Probably to be expected at an hotel of this quality.
We loved our room. The friendly and helpful staff made us feel very welcome. We also did not have to move off-site for dinner as there were a choice of restaurants in and around the hotel. We had to leave early the next morning and would not have been able to enjoy breakfast at the hotel, they insisted to offer us a nice takeaway breakfast which was appreciated.

BelgiumNothing really. Perhaps an access at a decent price to the swimming pool next to the hotel. The price proposed for 2 hours is a bit exagerated. Even better, you could propose a free access limited to 2 hours to your hotel guests.
We had an amazing stay. The location is excellent, the rooms are super nice, the personnel very helpful and nice. The secured parking is a plus and the breakfast is really good. We really enjoyed the time spent.
