- I liked everything. It was my second time here, and if I'm back in Windhoek, I'd come here again.

+ many places to sit around in common areas, they're wonderful + good section of trips to be organised via hostel (I definitely recommend Namflava tour) + nice and helpful stuff + quick and cheep loundry service

Very comfortable with good gathering areas to meet with fellow travellers. Not a party place but good for meeting people. Limited dinner options are offered each evening and at ND 150 are very good value. Breakfast is excellent. I have a gluten free intolerance and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Kitchen area is excellent. Good places to b store your food including ample fridge space. A few grocery stores within easy walking distance. Excellent choice pre and post Namibia Tour

I could only use cash for small purchases at the bar. Not a big deal but I wasn't able to have a beer at the end of the night because of it. Also deposit needed to be in cash as well, which I wasn't expecting.

Walking distance to main strip downtown, the Craft Center and local mall to grab essentials. On a nice quiet dead end street.

That it exists only in Windhoek.

The positive vibe. The quietness. The common areas. The activities. The well equipped and always clean kitchen. The excellent breakfast. Fast and reliabe internet. The staff. The parking in the premisses. Everything! One of the best hostels ever, a model hostel and the best place to stay in Windhoek, hands down. Lion Bedroom is specially advised for total quietness and comfort.

Weird design of the room. Breakfast no thrills. According to the warning signs on site and what the staff told us we should not walk around in the neighbourhood with any kind of valuables on show. It was like: -"you WILL get robbed". We only stayed one night before our flight back to europe and did not spend much time outside the guesthouse so can't really judge how true this is. But we survived. Didn't get robbed and didn't feel unsafe walking around.

Cosy place with a small but well needed pool. Most staff very alert and helpful. Massage on site was nice. Pretty central location. Enjoyed the sitting areas.

This was my base in Windhoek for my various trips in Namibia. It is a really great place for a traveller to stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is simple and good. In the evenings they provide a hearty dinner for NAD150, you book it when you arrive. It is easy walking distance from a major shopping centre that has everything you need. Rooms are clean.

Chameleon Backpackers is well-staffed and organized, with clean rooms and a good breakfast. We had a bunch of laundry to clean, and they did 6-7 loads at a decent price. We walked to Pizzeria Sicillia for dinner and loved it. This was the last few days of our Namibia trip, but lots of tours and activities could be booked through the hostel, if you wanted.

Everything was great!

Everything was great! Staff were brilliant, friendly. Namibian hospitality at it's finest. Hostel is really chilled and relaxing despite being in central Windhoek. Only sad we only could spend one night here... The "love bird" room is amazing, really characterful while also giving you a bit of privacy. And for the price it's unbeatable!

I liked everything, but if I were to complain, I'd say breakfast could be more interesting and coffee could be better than an instant one.

Atmosphere - place full of open people travelling through Namibia. Lots o places to sit around common areas makes it very much like home, and gives opportunity to talk with interesting people. It is though quiet after 22. Good range of trips and helpful information. Dinner options within the place. Pool is small but refreshing.

It was included at the start of my safari and I really loved staying here. The staff are very friendly and they organized a quiz and bbq the first night I was there. Great way to meet people. My room was a private room with en-suite and really comfortable. Laundry was great. Would definitely recommend and have already told people all about it!

Comfortable hostel within easy walking distance of central Windhoek shops/cafes/attractions. Clean, tidy and comfortable room with A/C if needed and good hot water supply. Friendly staff, bar area with seating and pool table. Fairly simple breakfast but tasty and plenty to eat. Secure parking. Would recommend and we are going back before we fly out of Windhoek.

the general mood of this place is amazing. It is in Windhoek but it is like staying in a country accomodation thanks to its open spaces and general facilities. I totally reccomend it!

Really helpful reception. Nice chill vibe. The included breakfast is simple and good. Self catering kitchen if you want, and the bar serves pizza as well. Very close to the centre of town. Reception will help with taxis, getting drivers and anything you need.

Nothing of significance.

The Hostel: Private room was spacious, welcoming, functional and clean. WiFi network, shower and water pressure all worked great. Common area offer cozy vibes, a pool, bar and plenty of seating. The Stay: The bed was comfortable and the room is well designed. Located in a safe part of town with supermarkets, shopping and city landmarks nearby. The hostel is gated with keycard scanning for access control. Conveniently located and a short distance to most attractions (30-40 minute shuttle ride from WDH airport). The Service: The staff were kind and helpful. They were always available to answer questions and offer free walking tours every day. Special shout out to Ginette for all the great information on the history of Windhoek!
