I never seen anything like this. We spent the best two nights in this lodge. Oryxes, birds, jackals walking around. Sunsets and sunrises with the vest views. Rooms are separate buildings, super clean, like new. Spacious. The stuff is great. Dinner is delicious. Truly amazing place!

We loved the dinner under the stars in the open. The food was delicious and well-chosen variety. The cater for all tastes. Breakfast was presented as a picknick basket which we enjoyed at dead vlei.

All good. The only quality accommodation of which we were aware at Sossusvlei. Clean and comfy room, aircon stood up to very high heat, staff helpful, great buffet dinner, excellent breakfast, tastefully designed to afford views of the desert.

The hotel is big and caters for group tourism, which means there are many people at the buffé in the evening and morning, not always a positive thing. Our aircon - although on max capacity - was barely able to cool our room to acceptable temperature. The fact that it was 44 degrees outside might be a factor.

We stayed in a nice, big room in the front row and had a lovely view of the desert from our window. A buffé dinner is included in the price for the room and the tables are set outside with the desert as closest neighbour and candles are lit as the dark approaches. We even had a jackal coming very close to our table - it had probably been fed by some thoughtless guests in the past. Good parking. The hotel is situated just by the main gate going to Sossusvlei and if you set off early in the morning, you do not have to spend a too long time in the queue for registration.

The Lodge is just outside the maingate for the dunes, so very convenient for an early start. Our room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. The buffet dinner, served outside, was stunning. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 3 nights in this place and we loved it. We just wanted to have a few days rest during Xmas time and this place was perfect: big rooms with absolutely all comfort necessary, nice pool area to relax and enjoy cold drinks, amazing buffet at dinner time with delicious grills but also plenty of salads and vegetables, very nice atmosphere overall, with helpful staff. right at the gate for the dunes, but just have in mind that it is not inside the park, nevertheless this was not an issue for us to be able to reach in time to climb Big Daddy and Dune 45

We spend Newyear's evening here. Since we were up from 5h to see the sunrise in Sossus, we could not stay awake until 00h. Maybe a small aperitif before diner was better option.

Perfect location to visit Sossusvlei. Close to the maingate. Diner was outside in beautiful surrounding. Good food, nice wines,... Sundowner was great!

Aircons were very noisy and not cooling well making the rooms uncomfortable. Room 128 was okay but not 100% and room 129 aircon definitely faulty

Internet only works in the reception and bar are but if you’re doing vacation in Namibia you should know that this is common and prepare yourself to disconnect

I think they are the second best lodge in the Sossusvlei area, only behind the Dead Valley lodge which is inside of the national park. The last one is much more expensive and exclusive. For me, the advantage is that you can watch the sunset from dune 45. If you don’t really care about it don’t waste your money and just book Sossusvlei Lodge. They are 5 min away from the main gate, have amazing rooms and the greatest dinner buffet we had in Namibia.
