Great location, right next to the center, bars, and restaurants. The staff was amazing and so helpful and kind. They had staff doing upgrades/repairs and had the pool area closed. However, they reopened the pool area and delayed the upgrades specifically for us. The staff followed up with us repeatedly to ensure we were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.

The Breakfast was very good and served in a beautiful courtyard. Secure parking for our rental car was provided across the street. Easy 5 minute walk to the main square.

It’s almost perfect but we felt the whole place could use some investment. A fresh coat of paint, some water in the fountains and one other tip, the chairs at the front by the road were tipped up making it look like the hotel is closed, putting them the right way would make the property look far more inviting. The pool area was not that nice, we didn’t use it.

Lovely colonial hotel, the former US embassy I believe, right in the centre of Leon. We enjoyed breakfast in the delightful shady courtyard and the staff were great, really helpful. Our bedroom had French doors onto the gorgeous balcony which we very much enjoyed sitting out in every evening in the rocking chairs (be careful which room you book, not all have French doors or windows ). The bed was very comfy.

Great hotel right in the center of Leon. It is an old colonial style building with an inner garden where you eat breakfast in the morning. The staff was very attentive and made us welcome right from the beginning. Very tasty breakfast with French baguette and freshly brewed coffee. Everything was exactly as seen in the pictures. Parking is at the casino opposite the hotel.

we loved everything!

a truly wonderful property. all of the staff are exceptional. fantastic breakfast in the courtyard in the morning. great wifi, and shady areas around the hotel to work (all open air). rooms incredibly clean and updated, slept SO comfortably every night due to a great mattress, fluffy pillows and plush comforter. small, cool pool to cool off in after a day of exploring. location couldn’t be better - but it’s also very quiet for a good rest. we had 5 days here and while it was enough to see Leon, we didn’t want to leave this hotel. would highly recommend.

Breakfast each morning was delicious, especially the fresh-brewed Nicaraguan coffee from Matagalpa. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was exceptional and very reasonably priced. All the hotel staff were friendly and provided very good service. Secured parking lot across the street. Can’t say enough good things about Hotel La Perla which was first class!
