“We were made most welcome by our host Monique. The location in Assen was perfect being right in the middle of the town with the Market and weekend activity. Easy to access walking in the woods. We enjoyed hearing about the area’s history from our host. We would definitely return if the opportunity arises.”

“We are bikers who often travel to Assen for motorcycle racing. Usually, I don't book in time to get an Assen hotel. I'm so glad I managed to get the Hotel De Bonte Wever this year. Clean and exceptionally well-equipped, and very competitively priced. Buffet breakfast and dinner are amazing, well cooked with so much to choose from. It is a large complex, with gyms and even a disco...... The Assen track is a short ten-minute ride away, and the walk to the town is about fifteen to twenty minutes. The hotel is accessed via a security barrier so safe secure parking for bikes is a welcome sight when you arrive.
For an event at Assen, it couldn't be better, and I can imagine for a family, it would also be ideal, especially for the informal eating arrangements.”
“A nice and comfortable B+B. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. It`s close to the town centre and all the aminities. Groningen and leeuwarden are easy to reach and if you want to go to the sea, the Ijselmeer (Lemmer) is about an hours ride away.
Esther the owner is very nice and she looked after us very well. Our visit was primialy to see the Frida Karlo exibition at the Drents Museum, a good museum for visiting.”
