The small was very small. No breakfast at the hotel and the recommended place for breakfast was closed at 9am on Saturday!

Rooms a little on the small side. Doors seemed to be slam shut even when trying not to & alarm for door being open was very quick, with seconds. Beds on small size.

Amsterdam accommodation is expensive, but £150 per night feels a lot to pay for a pretty small attic room, though we were there for King’s Day which may have pushed up the price.

It’s in a really cool, quiet part of town dotted with enough bars, restaurants and interesting places to visit, yet only 20-30 min pleasant walk (or shorter tram ride) from central Amsterdam.

Quite a bit of noise, due to construction happening in the street which affected sleep. Also, a bit on the cold side but easily fixed by saying it to staff.

There was buzzing (like a distant washing machine) buzzing all night. Very odd!

Easy check-in. We left the bags early and they were taken up for us. We checked in later on. The beds were very comfortable and the room was just what we needed for our stay. There was a pub over the road and eateries at the same junction. It was an easy, straight road walk into town, taking 10-15 minutes.

We arrived at check-in time and the receptionist told us that our room wasn't ready. We returned later and it still hadn't been cleaned. We had a long night of travelling and just wanted to relax but had to wait, so that was quite a frustrating start. The spiral staircases were also very narrow and steep.

The room was clean and quiet and we had everything we needed for our stay, including a kettle and tea/coffee, which is quite rare in some European countries.

It can be noisy as the windows are not sound proof, especially when your windows are facing the tram line and main street. A bit cold in the night as the main heating is done via air conditioning.

Proximity to Amsterdam centre. You have tram no 14 just in front of the hotel. Across the street there are many nice restaurants and cafes and the hotel offer 15% at one of the cafes. The size of the room is good.

Unfortunately there were some rowdy British males who swore, argued and banged on doors in the early hours. Staff didn't seem to intervene but who can blame them.

- Unfortunately my room was right next to the staircase and the elevator, which made it very noisy, because there were people walking by all night long. - Room was freezing cold, with no option to turn on the heating. There was only an aircon option available. - Linens were very thin, so I had to stack the linens from 2 beds to feel a bit warm. - Bathroom was very small! - Shower walls were not cleaned properly: there was still mold and quite some dust on them. - Location is quite far from a whole lot of nice places.

Room was next to the staff room where they store their stocks. So, it could get a bit noisy when they start their work. You need to ask for key for the safe as it doesn't have battery. You also need to ask for the hair dryer as it might not work in your room.
