Having to make our own beds, the sheets were presented laundered but left for the occupants to make up, difficult when you arrive late after a long drive!

The staff is so kind and helpful. They picked us up from the train station by car. They have rental bicycles available to explore the area which it was very handy for us and a wonderful experience as we use the e-bikes to visit the tulips fields. I fully recomend this place. The staff gave us advice the whole time and the facilities are great. Lovely views as well.

The accommodation was just fantastic, really just what we had hoped for. Very tidy, very spacious, the beds were comfortable to sleep in. The hosts were extremely nice and we even got a ride to the train station when we left. The walk from the nearest but stop to the accommodation was like straight from a fairytale: cows, sheep, mallards, swans and ducks all around, beautiful houses and green fields. We rented e-bikes from the accommodation and it was quite cheap for the day. The location of Casa del Lago is extremely good, as it is only some kilometers away from Keukenhof. The surrounding area is very quiet and nice. 100% recommend this place.

There is no restaurant around and you need to take your car (or bikes), but there is a kitchen in the apartment if needed, so you can bring your food as well

Very nice apartment for family trip to Koekenhof garden, very clean with huge space, also very comfortable. You can rent bikes also for children, excellent for family with children.

Not really I don’t like but have to climb up stairs to the apartments and with the luggages it can be quite a challenge.

My family and I love the surroundings! Next to canal, windmill and green field. We booked 2 apartments and both have balconies overlooking the canal. Good size and very clean.

Although the location is very beatiful, it is quite noisy because of the planes taking off from schiphol. In addition, ther is no cafe, restaurant or even small grocery store in a walking distance

The owner asked me to pay a security deposit, and upon leaving, he deducted 60 euros for illogical reasons. Unfortunately, an experience I will not repeat.

It was a challenge for us getting our heavy bags up quite steep stairs. Our fault for packing so much. We had one rough night when some other guests used the shared kitchen room very loudly until the early hours of the morning despite there being clear signage to be quiet after 10am. Without management on site the people continued unfortunately.

This was a great base for us cycling around the tulip fields. The owners rented us e-bikes for the duration of our stay which were really handy as we didn’t have a car. They also picked us up from the train station which was much appreciated. Our room had everything we needed.

You have to get used to the sound of planes flying over (Schiphol airport is located 20 km away)

The comfortable apartment for four people - fully-equipped private kitchen, a big table, a bathroom, one double bed, and two single beds. You can rent bikes in place. Big private parking. Good Wi-Fi. The apartment is located on a floor (accessible only by stairs). It wasn't an issue for us but good to know. Perfect location if you'd like to visit Keukenhof, tulip fields, or Leiden. All are available by bike in 20-30 minutes.
