How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Minor issue; Wi-Fi provided by the hotel was not as fast as we would have liked in our room, reverted instead to using 4G which was more reliable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Hotel Arsenaal. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we were made to feel welcome and valued as guests from the moment we arrived. Our room was spotlessly clean and well maintained during our stay. Stunning architectural environment; the communal areas provided extra space in which to relax and looked very festive in preparation for Christmas. Great choice of food for breakfast; good quality ingredients used. After a day of site seeing this hotel provided an ideal base for rest and relaxation. Perfect for a short break in Delft. We will definitely return next time we are visiting the city.

We were on the first floor. Unfortunately the room above us was a little noisy. We could hear a lot of scraping of furniture. Perhaps the upper floor rooms should be carpeted.

Fantastic hotel. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Decor was very tasteful. Rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely and very relaxing. Location was perfect. 4 minutes walk to train station and very close to shops and restaurants.

Nothing apart from does not serve dinner but had plenty of good recommendations.
Loved the hotel and was very tastefully renovated old building. Rooms were excellent and well appointed. Staff were very friendly and knew Delft well. Breakfast was excellent & nice bar area to sit in.

It is pricey. I won’t go for casual stays but only make it special.

Fantastic hotel, with very elegant and modern decoration, overlooking the canal and centrally located. The personnel was very kind and genuine thoughtful, making my birthday reservation very special. Would definitely visit this again.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like.
The hotel has a very welcoming and chilled out feel. The room was quiet and the bed and pillows soft comfortable. The staff were all very helpful. The music in the lounge added to the relaxed feel without intruding. Would happily stay here again when we next visit Delft.

Historical, well designed building. Clean, well-sized rooms. Breakfast had good selection of hot & cold items. Showers, TV, coffee maker in room all worked very well. Staff friendly and helpful. Quiet. Great location to cinema, grocery, restaurants, tourist sights. Train and trams 3-5 minute walk.

It's hard to find fault with anything, but one little gripe is the small bath towels. And why have 5 different types of flavoured teabags in the room, when all most people want is just an ordinary cup of tea!
The conversion from old arsenal to a hotel is impressive; particular the reception and bar area are amazing. We don't normally spend time in hotel bars, but this one was an exception. Its good to see the hotel take sustainability serious. Rooms are very comfortable, especially the bed. Breakfast is very good, with both hot food and fresh healthy options.

Nothing springs to mind.
Staff exceptionally friendly from arrival to checkout. The room was lovely, very clean and the bed was very comfy. Stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly it. The cherry on top is the location, close to the train station and equally as close to the shops and restaurants.

The lady at the front desk was super friendly when checking in and out. The hotel is beautiful, very well designed, clean, and the bed was so comfy and had two big fluffy pillows for each person.

There wasn't one thing I didn't like about this stay. I would stay here again and again.
This is an amazingly beautiful, well crafted, well designed hotel. It's full of history and they've preserved the architecture and made it incredibly comfortable.
