Lovely, homely little hotel in a quiet street. Small room, perfect for a solo traveller. Comfortable bed, nice hot shower, kettle, safe. One minute walk to the metro and tram stops. If I return to Amsterdam, I will definitely stay here again.

Excellent choice for a few nights to spend in Amsterdam, this hotel provides everything you will need for a decent price. Bonus points for the staff, they welcomed us dearly and were exceptionally polite and helpful during our stay.

Such an amazing hotel, the owners of the hotel and the staff makes you feel as if ur at home plus they helped us and suggested a lot of places to visit and when leaving the hotel they gave us a gift, thank you and for sure I'll be staying there when visiting Amsterdam 😀

Stairs are very steep but no way to escape steeps stairs in Amsterdam :)

The Asterisk hotel is a wonderful family-run Hotel where i had the pleasure to stay at least 3 times in the last years. The location of the hotel is one of the best being exacly between De Pijp and the centrum. The hotel is very cozy and clean with spacious rooms with comfy beds and an elevator (very rare in Amsterdam). Both my brother and I found the facility to be fantastic and welcoming! An experience to be repeated!

Upon arrival, the reception was exceptionally kind. We received a hot towel and coffee/tea to warm up from the cold and we’re even upgraded to larger room! The room was comfy and had all the necessities. Throughout the stay they were always available for questions or other needs, and even gave us a little trinket as a gift when we departed. The staff was very respectful and gracious and I can’t recommend enough! Thank you!

I really enjoyed my stay at the terrific Asterisk Hotel! I liked that it has that family feeling instead of dealing with a big hotel chain. Location was fantastic. My room was upgraded upon arrival and check-in was a breeze. I especially appreciated that the hotel is very close to the tram and a great breakfast restaurant, De Carrousel Pannenkoeken.

There is no restaurant/cafe in the hotel. So food will have to be sourced externally. It would have been good to have a communal use microwave.

Location was close to the metro (2 stops from Amsterdam Centraal) and the tram line. There was a supermarket close by so it was very useful for getting conveniences.
