Nice and quiet small hotel in great location for visiting the different areas of Rotterdam

    Rooms were very dated

Very friendly and helpful staff willing to assist, very quiet street so no road noise despite being very close to shops and amenities, comfy beds, good shower, safe bike storage

    Older place, but surprisingly nice.

Unfortunately the walls between the rooms provide little soundproofing. We had two mothers with young children next door, and it wasn't fun listening to them trying to put them to sleep at 11pm, or being woken up in the middle of the night by toddler screaming. Bathroom floor is slightly elevated in relation to the room, so there's a step. Take care not to bump your toes into the step by accident - I know I did. Minor - you're supposed to leave the keys at the reception when leaving, and to get back inside you have to wait until the receptionist opens the door for you. Maybe they could introduce the modern convenience of RFID keycards in the future?

The hotel and rooms have a somewhat dated interior, but it's all kept clean and in good condition. Room is quite spacious, with a couch that transforms to a third bed if needed. Bathroom is also pretty large, and has an actual bathtub. Beds had nice, firm mattresses - nice change after soft cheap ones other hotels usually use. My back thanks the owners. Breakfast is pretty good. Staff member cooks eggs (fried, scrambled or boiled) for you on demand. Other things like bread, spreads, cold cuts, cereal and pastry are available. My favorite part was the sandwich grill - assemble your meal and heat it up until it's nice and crispy. Some snacks are available for purchase at the reception, and there's a bar that serves drinks at the entrance to the dining area. The place takes about 15 minutes to get on foot to from the train station. There are several public transport stops within several minutes of walking. Hotel entrance is located on a quiet street with mostly residential housing. There's a larger street right behind the hotel with some places to have a meal, and a grocery store (Dirk) is nearby.

My bed could have been softer - it felt very hard. The same could be said about the chairs in the room. A couple of cushions is all that was needed.

The location was excellent and I particularly liked the staff. I stayed for 3 nights and saw several changes of staff who were all very friendly. I felt noticed and safe. My room was merely functional (very small) but everything worked. I very much liked breakfasts, even down to the tiny sliver of garden and greenery they had created at the back. It was a nice touch.

My room is next to the lift. I could hear ppl talking outside the room, and when they walked past my door.

Location is good, only 15 mins walk from Central Station. Breakfast is good, can order egg and pancakes 👍 Staff is friendly.

I didn't like the storage solution - the closet had almost no shelves, there were open shelves by the bed (end table), but no drawers. It was a minor issue though. I would have also preferred to have a kettle inside the room and not have to ask the reception to boil water for me.

I liked that the room was spacious and comfortable, it was quiet and it had a ceiling fan. The room was very bright and had very good light-blocking curtains. The internet was fine, but I didn't use it much. The bed was very comfy :) The reception were very friendly and they are there all the time.

    Nothing special

The room was not very big, but clean and comfortable (a big window and clean bathroom). The building is a bit old and you can feel history, but it is maintained well.

The lady at the breakfast was angry that I sat to a table alone, however there wasn't any other free smaller table. She seemed to be annoyed by the guests.

Great location (very close to the museumquarter), clean and comfortable room. The staff at the reception was very helpful.

The bed/matress sinks in in the middle, probably needs replacement (I still had a good sleep though).

Great location, central and near the metro and at the same time quiet. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy. WiFi was very fast and stable for as many devices as you bring.

The members of the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The family hotel is situated just around the corner from the centre of Rotterdam but in a quite road. The room was basic but a good value for money considering the location. I would recommend this friendly hotel for a short stay of 1/2 nights.

    Nothing.

The location is great. Right in the centre of Rotterdam (yet the room was very quiet) and close to tram and metro station. The room was spacious (bigger than expected) and on the top floor. It also had a small balcony. There was a small fridge in the room (although it wasn't mentioned in the website) so we could store a small bottle of water and some fruits we had with us. The bathroom was nice with a bathtub and super clean. The staff was very helpful and the reception was 24/7. I would definitely choose Breitner Hotel next time I visit Rotterdam.

The room had a strong atmosphere of a youth hostel, with two bunk beds and limited options for sitting down. The bathroom was tiny but clean and modern. Our main challenge was the lack of air conditioning. Even though it was only about 70°F outside, the room was hot and stuffy, and an open window and fan weren't enough to make the room comfortable. There was no kettle in the room, but guests can get flasks of hot water from reception, which worked well enough.

The location and price were great, but what really made the stay was the staff. They were always available, very friendly and helpful. That makes such a difference. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the hotel has a lift.
