Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe fact that we had to bring the dishes of the breakfast back and take off all the sheets from the bedding.
We liked the location a lot. The breakfast was good, but a little pricey for what we got I think. Also, the employers are very friendly!

NetherlandsThere was only an electrical wok and a microwave oven to kook with. So it was a bit of improvising. I couldn't use my self brought coffee percolator.
It was simple and in the forest. You can walk out, directly into nature.

Netherlands- you need to clean up the room yourself before check out and there is no information in english about it. I learned it from comments on booking.com, otherwise i’d had to pay fee for this. If there is such a rule, you need to inform everyone in detail about this. Information was very hidden in a brochure and only in dutch, people might not read this brochure and/or not speak the language. This information should be more visible for everyone - no hair dryer in the room - no slippers given, inside gets so dirty quickly because you have to walk in the nature. Slippers would be a good solution to avoid this - after reservation you learn you need to pay extras such as towel fee etc. they should include it to booking price or put clear information so that everyone is aware before booking - we stayed 2 nights as a couple, but only had 2 coffee capsules and 2 tea bags- which is absolutely not enough for 2 people who stay there two nights- you should consider how long people stay and supply them such things accordingly - no breakfast included in the price also breakfast is not possible in the resturant
- small but comfortable - really in the nature - short distance to national park and forest - very good heating in the rool - facilities are new in the pod - dog friendly - you can cook your own food (not very complex ones, more basic ones) - you can find almost everything you need in the room even though it is small area - great wifi in the pod

NetherlandsThere are no dislikes. There are feedbacks. If it’s possible to do one day, I would definitely appreciate a protecting net at the door as well as the one you have at the small window in the bathroom. This way it could stay open at night when it’s warm (it was already warm enough). Changing towels at no extra charge when someone stays for more than one night would be also great (it was 3 nights in my case) Maybe a larger restaurant in the future. The existing restaurant is incapable to take most or the guests for dinner. I was not able to book it on my arrival day. And if you can’t eat there, you have to drive or cycle to the city.
The location is great. It is in the forest, forest is everywhere, nice surroundings, fresh air, beautiful nature sights. Hiking and biking are possible. House rules regarding noise are perfect (no noise after 22:00 till morning). Thank you. Planning to come back.

NetherlandsThe lux pods have floor heating. thermostaat of our pod was making too much noise during the night, looked like a malfunction. We had to turn it off during the night so no heating in our pod during the night ( it was cold outside). We asked the staff and they were helpful to send instructions to reset the thermostaat but it didn't help in the end, we didn't stay in the pod for the last night we left earlier. The size of the 2person bed was also a problem for us. It was too small for us.
The location is in a calm environment and into the nature. There is a restaurant close by.

NetherlandsNo soap, one layer toilet paper, we had to throw away our own garbage bag in the morning, we had to clean our own dishes, we had to pay extra for sheets and we needed to put our sheets in the washing bin. All of this is fine of course but it’s a lot when you think about the 150 euro’s we had to pay for one night.
I liked the cabins. It was cozy.
