The only disavantage were the fact that in our "house" there were plenty of ants

Many toilets and bathrooms, clean area, close to the city centre, quiet

We stayed in the wagons and had issues with ants getting in even though we left no food out and the condensation was bad in the room so a lot of our clothes felt constantly damp

All the staff were lovely, in a really nice area away from the centre but still easy to get to with the trams

We found it difficult to find reception once we arrived at the location. It was very poorly signed. It was also raining heavily at the time, so this added to our difficulty finding reeption with poor signage.

    The location, facilities, friendly staff.

The main problem is that they dont give towels. They could offer that service. Obviusly they sell on the store, but towels are in my opinion something basic when you go to a place to sleep.

Everything, the place is really beautiful and peaceful.

Would have been good to have more kitchens around site as we would have been more inclined to cook but didnt affect us too much. A kettle in each wagon would have been great but not sure if that's possible.

Absolutely loved our stay! We stayed in may during the week and was so quiet and peaceful. Only a 5-10 min walk to tram which takes 5 minutes to the centre of Amsterdam. Also right next to a fantastic park. Was lovely to be able to order pastries for breakfast and the on site shop was fab. Really good bathroom facilities.

The instructions for check in via email were confusing and had many issues. Also didn’t like our room being at top of steep stairs when we are older and had heavy bags to carry up.

It met most of our needs. Allowing us to explore the area and was fairly accessible. Staff very helpful with directions when we were there in person.

One thing to note is that if your room / suite has a shared bathroom - you will have to get outside to get there, it can get a bit painful in colder weather. The rooms were quite basic, but overall for a short stay, it was ok.

Camping is located in a very nice spot by the river and it's about a 20 minute tram ride to the city. It's a great idea to go there in summer when the weather is nice, the camping probably looks great then. Despite us going there in winter, the place was still fairly busy so I imagine that it will be packed in summer. The staff was very nice and helpful, gave us really good recommendations for restaurants nearby. There are also decent bikes on site available to hire.

A nice place to stay while visiting Amsterdam

The steep stairs which we had to use to get to and from the room and the lack of a motion sensor light for the stairs at night. Also, it´s slightly far from public transport (15 min walk) but that´s understandable since it´s located on an island, and well compensated by accessibility to the city center (tram 14 takes you to the city center in 20 mins)

Stayed there in november and the room was warm and cozy. We were lucky and had a room where we could open the window. Room was very basic, but clean and beds were comfy. Bathrooms were clean and showers ok (warm water). The camping area is nice and green, surrounded by water. There is an outdoor kitchen area with a few stoves, a microwave, kettle and fridge. Overall was ok for the price in Amsterdam.

Felt that the shower facilities could have been cleaner at times, I'm sure it is hard to keep up with, but during peak times there was sometimes hair, discarded soap bottles, etc. in the shower. We were staying during a very hot weekend, combined with the humidity of the body of water, and the properties being made from wood the accommodation felt very damp.

Really liked the vibe of the campsite, we would happily come back and stay for longer in the summer. Everyone was very friendly and the staff were very helpful. It is a good location, not too far of a walk to the nearest tram stop, although we did not do the walk in the evening so cannot comment on the feel of it then. Plenty of activities on site, we didn't try them out as it was such a short trip but it looked like a lot of fun and reasonably priced. Very modern and updated shower block. Great value for money for Amsterdam.

The room was a bit narrow to me, I couldn't sleep with my legs stretched. The things in the room were always a bit wet, I don't know where all that humidity came from. There was a timer on the shower and the limit of time was too low.

The room and bathrooms were clean. There was a market within the camping.

Of course, it's camping and there is a lack of comfort, but I think that something can be improved somehow. First of all, the kitchen is completely unequipped and during our stay two of the four cookers were broken, causing a lot of problems and queues in critical hours, they tried to fix them but there was always at least one cooker broken. No hairdryers, and I think that this could be a problem for people that stay a few days, as they have to bring their own and occupy more space in their luggage. Furthermore, even if I know that it's a camping, it's very uncomfortable the idea that there is a complete lack of hygienic devices (a very basic bidet) for people with menstruation, making also impossible the use of ecological solutions like cups (but they describe it as "Sustainable? of course!").

It's possible to reach the city centre in more or less 20 minutes by bike, the cabins are cute, and there is the possibility to do some activity.

Beds not comfortable. Be aware that towels are not included when staying in a cabin and the camp kitchen doesn't contain pans, plates or utensils.

Reasonably priced and an easy tram trip in to the CBD. Amenities block clean. Camp shop well stocked.

The bed in the cabin would not be suitable for a person on average or tall height. It would have been good if there was fly screens on the windows, so that you could let fresh air in but keep mosquitoes out. There was no utensils or crockery provided for use in the kitchen, you had to bring your own - which makes it more difficult for a backpacker.

The cabins were so cute! I found the bed comfortable. There were plenty of toilets and showers, the camp kitchen was very good to have access to. I appreciated that there was a washing machine and dryer. Bike rental service was great, short cycle into town. The site was very pretty to hang out in, plenty of outdoor space and the staff were super friendly!
