Everything was perfect for our stay so nothing!!!

Very spacious room and full of facilities inc complimentary drinks, coffee machine and lots more. Hosts were amazing, very helpful and provided a brilliant list of recommendations for food and general exploring. Apartment was in a very good location with so many restaurants/cafes within easy walking distance!!

We would have liked a small table with chairs to play card games or backgammon, but managed okay.

I could honestly day that there was nothing that I “ didn’t “ like. It is a great place to rent. The only thing that someone might have issues with, would be the flights of stairs up to the apartment. The building is 400 years old, before elevators. So the stairs were steep while carrying luggage. However, the owner makes this apparent in the description. It was not a surprise or a deterrent to us. I would love to visit again.

The apartment was perfect for our trip/ needs. It was a close walk to city center, or a taxi ride away if you are not up for walking. It is tastefully decorated, and immaculately clean. Located on a canal with lovely views. The owners were very helpful with tips on places to visit, and very flexible with our travel situation.

Just a comment not a criticism: unit is on the top (4th) floor with a narrow steep staircase from the floor below. That would be a challenge for some travelers. However host very kindly brings baggage up and down the stairs for the guests.

Beautiful comfortable spacious room and large bathroom in historic townhouse set in the midst of the 17th century canal district. Very accessible! Lots of restaurants and public transport close by. Nice windowseat with views out over the canals. Very comfortable bed. Upstairs is a roof-top terrace to enjoy the surrounding skyline of towers and rooftops. Beautiful garden in back. Hosts are exceptional in kindness and helpfulness.

Everything! We had an amazing 2 nights - wish it had been longer.. hopefully we will come back soon. So cosy and loved sitting having a coffee up by the window. Really warm welcome by the hosts and stored our luggage so we could enjoy our last day. Don't let any reviews about the amount of stairs put you off its really not that big of a deal 😃 besides when you reach the top it is so worth it really cosy bedroom with all the facilities you would need for a short trip. Great location overall excellent place to stay.

The amount of stairs we had to climb to reach the apartment was a killer but was worth it.

The location is superb, and the property is beautiful and clean. They provided complimentary tea, Coffee, snacks, water and other drinks as well as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The room/apartment was perfect and the private roof terrace topped it off. Beautiful scenery and views from the terrace. The bed! Wow! Amazing.

Beautiful top floor accommodation in a central location, within walking distance of the city centre to the north and the museum quarter to the south. The apartment is quiet, spacious, well furnished and in spotless condition. The bathroom alone is bigger than some hotel rooms you might get in a city centre. It's a nice touch to have the alcove offering a view of the Keizersgracht below. The private roof terrace is a bonus, too, although we could not appreciate it ourselves when we visited in cold and snowy January. Keep in mind there are 70 steps to climb to reach the property, but it's worth the effort. Thijs greeted us on arrival, carried our suitcase upstairs, showed us around the apartment, and also provided us with an extensive list of places to eat during our stay. For morning coffee and croissants/cakes, I can recommend Screaming Beans, just five minutes' walk around the corner on Utrechtstraat. We were delighted we chose Empire Suites for our three-day stay in Amsterdam.

There's nothing wrong with this place at all, but if I could add one thing to make it more luxurious, it would be to put a handrail on the wall on the stairs up to the roof - but this might be something the owner is already planning. It is of course possible to use these stairs and just be cautious. Plus, you don't have to go up there - the window seat view is stunning.

Loved everything about this apartment. It was quiet, clean, warm (travelled in December - could control our own heating), spacious, has a lovely spot to sit and look down onto Keizersgracht, and a rooftop to look over the city. The minibar had some complimentary drinks which we weren't expecting. The bed was very comfortable. WiFi excellent. Coffee provided. Glassware provided. Host very welcoming and informative. Easy access - didn't see anyone from checkin to checkout, which we liked as it felt a bit more private. Was of course assured the host would be available for any questions and we had his number saved.

Initially the 6 flights of stairs to get to the room but by the end of the stay out fitness had improved and we didn’t even notice the stairs.

Excellent location, Beautifully presented and decorated room with massive bathroom and roof top terrace. Lovely and spacious and located in a gorgeous 18th century old canal house. Our charming host Thijs went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Very comfortable bed, great other amenities including a mini bar with complimentary wine on arrival and my new found love stroopwafels.

Great place, lovely host! Only thing (which cannot be helped) is that there are a lot of stairs so just be aware if you have mobility issues. For us it was a fantastic stay!

Perfect location and beautiful room. Very large bathroom with separate water closet. Room had crows nest window that overlooked the canal, and a private rooftop terrace (did not use since it was raining). Cozy and romantic. Hosts were great, and greeted us when we got there and helped with luggage. Gave us numerous suggestions for coffee shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Would book again in a heartbeat, but definitely in the summer!

You have to walk up 5 flights of stairs. We were fine but it is not for those that cannot climb stairs easily.

Thijs was great and met us at the property and showed us around the room. The room and the bathroom are huge. They are also very clean and neat. The location is great - very close to all of the sights of Amsterdam.
