Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaUnfortunately the bathrooms were being renovated on my floor so I had to go to the ones on the floor above me - that being said, they gave me feee coffee vouchers for the inconvenience and the bathrooms and showers were really nice and always clean.
Very nice rooms! Clean and comfortable. You can have a bit of fun with it and connect your phone to the Bluetooth speakers in the hub and also change the colour of the lights. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I would definitely come back here!

Nice and super clean location, close to the central train station (10-15 min walk), close to the city center, the personal is super helpful, you get a bracelet upon arrival which opens the front door, the door to your hub, your locker in case you need one before check-in or after check-out, activate the elevator, you can buy coffee, drinks, snacks and you pay at check-out. You have colored changing lights in your hub which you can adjust if you download the app, the bathrooms are clean and nice designed so...perfect

This is one of the best accommodations we’ve stayed in. So comfortable, stylish, and convenient. The pods were so cool, loved controlling the lights and music through my phone and the bed was so comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff which made us feel very secure. The bathroom facilities were excellent too, very clean and stylish also. We also made use of the luggage lockers. Also there was almost zero noise - we found our first stay CityHub so so impressive and can’t wait to book our next stay with them.

GermanyTo be honest, there wasn't much we didn't like. One area that could have been improved was the cleanliness of the bathrooms on the Saturday night of our stay. The nearest bathroom next to the sink was quite dirty, but since it was late, we didn't let it bother us too much and just used the other bathroom. These things can happen. I requested for it to be cleaned that same night by pressing the button. On Sunday morning, by the time we were getting ready in the bathroom again, it was being taken care of.
I really enjoyed the comfort of the rooms; they accommodated all our travel gear while still feeling cozy and inviting. The location was ideal, making it easy for us to reach the taxi boats, one of the main activities we had planned in Rotterdam. Additionally, one evening while working on some school assignments in the lobby, we were pleasantly surprised with a glass full of nuts, which was a very nice touch.

GermanyIt's difficult to say what you didn't like when you say beforehand: "It was great as always...." .... I'll try anyway. It was certainly just a stupid coincidence that the bathroom and toilet on our floor were "out of order" during our stay. We understand that you also have to renovate from time to time, but it is of course not so nice when you as a guest are personally affected by this and have to go up and down the narrow stairs of the emergency staircase, which also somehow didn't smell pleasant and was only very poorly lit, every time you visit the shower rooms. Perhaps a little more light in the narrow corridor would have been good.
It was great as always. It's nice when the city host recognizes you. With this in mind, many thanks to Sanne and Annebel, who patiently helped us with all our questions and always had a smile on their faces, greeting us and saying goodbye, no matter when and how often we came or went. Also the possibility to store our luggage in the CityHub on the day of departure, after check-out, because we still wanted to relax and shop...that's just really great. I think the manager of the hostel, Tom, should also be mentioned here, who contacted me personally after my little criticism in October last year and resolved any differences. We love Rotterdam and come here several times a year. The City Hub certainly plays a big part in this.

United KingdomIncredibly "space efficient" rather than "cramped". The common area is great; the (shared) shower facilities are good; the capsules that you sleep in are really cleverly designed, so absolutely fine as long as you don't want to hang out in your room all day. The mattresses were comfy. You can use kettle and fridge in the kitchen area. Also, bizarrely, it was quieter than I experienced at so many posh hotels. It seems people behave with great awareness when they are in a corridor with 10 others nearby, whereas in pricey and nice hotels I have many times been inconvenienced by people partying in the next room or shouting noisy goodnights in the corridor at 2am.

GermanyOnly negative points I can think of are the fact that there's no way to control the airflow to the pod (they do offer fans, but it wuld be nicer to be able to control external airflow) and lights are all on or off - I didn't download the app so no idea if there was an actual way to control it... not keen on the idea of downloading an app for couple of days stay. also the bed was not the most comfortable... would sink in the middle a bit.
The receptionist was really lovely and friendly, ready to answer my questions! The room was quirky as expected but it was definitely a cool experience. I too the "top bunk" format, which I think was actually really good. Location is great, super central and I could walk to most places. The toilets were clean and had shampoo and shower gel as well. Super practical check in/out and a wristband instead of card/key which took away any thoughts about it!

It's a very comfortable and homey place despite the fact that it's a small room, you can do things comfortably like changing etc. Everything is kept clean and working great. They're very thoughtful about everything and it makes things easier. I also love that their staff engage with you as you wish! They're great.
