You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumVery small room, not advised to spend a lot of time in it since you simply cannot move. But its a small place in general and they really can't help it haha.
Super cozy! The dining room really makes you feel like you are in a rich establishment during the middle ages. Lots of parking spots, amazing nature all around. The few tourist attractions near it are laughable, but its perfect for hiking and bigger cities are not too far away.

NetherlandsThe rooms are quite noisy. I could listen to whole conversations if I wanted to. It was freezing cold when I first entered the room. The window was open and it was freezing outside .
Perfect breakfast, eat all you want. The lady who served breakfast was very kind. Even if you don't eat bread there's plenty of food to choose from.

NetherlandsWe were staying in a room in front of the hotel, where you can hear the road (cars) but also visitors chatting early in the morning downstairs leaving for bike ride. Therefore it was slightly noisy especially because we came to this area to find peace & quiet, so if you are looking for that you should request a room with a garden view.
This is a cozy place to stay in a beautiful village in Drenthe! You can have great dinner here too, we enjoyed it a lot. The rooms are simple with comfy beds and it was overall a great stay.

NetherlandsThe day of the arrival no one was waiting on the reception on the time i wrote. Then after we according via WhatsApp a week before to have a breakfast in a bag and the coffemachine always free to use because i had to go away on 7.00 and the breakfast start on 8.30. well on 7.00 restaurant door closed, try to call until 7.45, no answers. So without breakfast and without a coffee i went away. Just a few hours later (around 9.15) they send me messages for pay the room. We discuss about my breakfast and the fault was on me because the day before i didnt send AGAIN a WhatsApp for an appointment where i can request AGAIN the breakfast.So they take off only 5€. Room also very very small for that price and it looks also very old and not very clean especially the floor and the bathroom.

NetherlandsWe did not like the room. The restaurant has a good chef but food is very pricey and the service is not up to any standard.
Our room was in the attic with a step down immediately after the door, to make space for standing, very dangerous. Old bed and furniture, no coffee or tea in the room. Toilet and shower are separate and both require climbing up two steep steps, directly after the door, so at night also dangerous. Would not recommend quality price wise.

NetherlandsBefore we arrived they called to find out if we would be making a reservation for dinner, there was no menu online and we asked them to send it to us on WhatsApp so we could decide. This was done, they had my number, for calls and WhatsApp. We politely declined after seeing the limited menus and thank them. The rest was down hill from there! Our experience was horrible from the minute we arrived. After cancelling one of our rooms on Booking.com, with no penalty fees. We arrived at the accommodation only for them to tell us we are responsible for the room. The owners didn’t check us in, we were given keys and not even told about facilities and amenities. We were not escorted or even given directions to our rooms. When we got to the room, we realized that they had given us the key for the room we cancelled-the cheapest room, and kept the key of the most expensive room. When taking back the key to get the correct key the owner was hesitant to give it to us. And tried to turn the story once again. Eventually we were given the key and also asked about the wifi, We were given no instructions about wifi, and when we asked we were told there was a letter in the room- there were no letters in the rooms we had been given. There was however a letter in the room “best” room they decided to keep the key for. This happened in full view of the patrons in the restaurant at the time, demeaning and completely unacceptable! They made no time to rectify the situation and we were left to call booking.com ourselves to find out what the issue was. Even though we showed them the cancellation confirmation on the app and email they were unwilling to take responsibility for their mistake and wanted to hold us liable for the room. We had a horrible stay and our evening was ruined by this appalling situation. To make things even worse, One of our friends forgot his keys in the room when we left.
This was the worst experience I have ever had. In all my travels I have never experienced such awe Gil customer service and hospitality
