We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Oh, my God!!!! What a wonderful place! I was received by Elizabeth, that played the piano and sang for me! She cooked a meat ball and gave to me and it was so delicious... The place has a do nostalgic atmosphere and I simply love it. The breakfast is full of options and everything is done with love. I totally recommend this place for everything that wants to feel very welcome.

The hotel was literally about 8 to 10 mins from the train and bus stations. We have no complaints whatsoever.

United KingdomStaff were very loud in the morning at 6am. No consideration for the guests. Shouting and talking very loud from the kitchen right next door to our two rooms we had booked. Night time staff stand on the balcony outside the window and are on the phone or talking until passed 10pm. 3 young children getting woken up from the noise. Rooms very basic, one of the rooms bathroom door locks on own, toilet gets blocked as little flush. Charge on top of the original price when arriving for 'tourist fee'. Definitely won't be staying again.
Location is good as its in the centre of Hoorn.

United KingdomThe main problem was the cold. It appears that the heating is turned off totally at night, no doubt to save money, which is understandable in the current economic climate, but all five rooms we booked were like iceboxes when we got back after the show and this created quite a lot of bad feeling. The other problem is that there's no actual parking attached to the hotel; there IS a decent amount of paid street parking, but the street was also used as a market on the day we were there, so we couldn't have got in there anyway.
The location was excellent as we were working at the local theatre, just five minutes walking distance away, and the hotel is literally right in the centre of town. The rooms were well-sized, clean and comfortable, and the hotel had a lot of local character. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and one of the proprietors is also an excellent singer who performs in the foyer !
