Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. ItalyI'd suggest to work on communication before and during our stay. Confused messages through the booking app, grumpy receptionists trying to sell us as a favour services we booked from the beginning (travel with dog).
XXL hotel rooms are beautiful. Breakfast good, in line with price and international customers expectations. Restaurant and pool, ok.

NetherlandsPrice in off season was still pretty high for a family of 5. The mini golf course looks like a mini hurricane destroyed every surface and it was designed by a sleepy five year old who gave up half way through.
Super room and very family friendly. Breakfast was big and had something for all 5 of us. Close to beach and food/facilities onsite are very good.

NetherlandsI booked for 3 adults and 1 kid , but got two beds and 1 bunk bed which was not comfortable for the adult. The resturant closes at 9 and they refuse to serve at 8 :30.pm with no other options close by, it was really frustrating with a kid not to get reservation in the hotel even if we were at 8 :30 pm inside the resturant. Breakfast closes at 10:30 :(
Food is great, location is nice. Rooms are clean.

the hotel is in very nice location to beach. indoor & outdoor swimming pool (with slides) is idea for our kids. We also enjoy meal, playground just next restaurant. Foods are actually nice. They are also running actives for kids. Everything set up perfectly for kids.

NetherlandsA bit rude, not very helpfull staff. Restaurant facility to order for take away dinner to room suddenly shut down and didn’t offer any effort or an alternative to serve their hotel guests some food after we called. We had to order a meal on line and delivered by Thuisbezorgd.nl.
Breakfast was good and good portions. Indoor swimming pool was very nice forthright kids.

NetherlandsWe were not allowed to pay by (guaranteed with buyers protection) credit card or other kind of payment system. We got emails that we should just wire the payment to a bank account. This is very fishy, even when the booking.com support staff contacted the facility, they were making up a story about only using credit card payments for cancelled bookings. Which breaks their contract with booking.com. But they don’t care anymore, probably because of insolvency. After letting us changed our stay(number of people), we we required to reserve the largest room they have, and let us pay the full upgrade. But when we arrived, only the smallest was still available (even smaller/cheaper than our original booking). But they did not even bother to say sorry. I guess they just don’t give a **** anymore. When your end is near. Don’t book unless you are willing to take the risk having your holiday ruined.
