It wasn't really clean just ok. The decor is looking tired and it is in need of renovation but it is a large old building. We found dirty tissues under the bed and we could hear people in the next room. The TV was facing completely the wrong way. There was no kettle in the room just a coffee machine with capsules. Not really a place for a fancy weekend and expensive compared to other places I stayed in the region.

It was easy to find. Check in and out were really easy. The what's app messages were very helpful. Beds were comfortable. Shower was good. The staff were really really friendly.

Low beds, and very very soft. Low chairs No aircon in the room, good fan but no comparison. Staff were mediocre. No restaurant on Sunday and Monday Breakfast was €19, Dinner, haute cuisine, was €22.00. However, its a nice hotel, dont be put off.

Pretty hotel, lovely location. Free minted water, delish. Shower and toilet very spacious. Easy bus routes to Valkenburg, railway station to Maastricht, Brussels, Aachen etc. Gulpen is very beautiful, but everything is very expensive. A litre of beer and two glasses of pop was €22.

The only issue we had was the room didn't have windows you could open as it had a sliding patio door leading onto a balcony. This wouldn't normally be a problem for us but we had our small dog with us and he could easily get out if we left the door open and so it was a little hot at night but we did have a fan to help us keep a little cooler.

The room was large and clean (we had the family suite with 2 TV's). The beds were comfortable and it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was included in our rate and was excellent with plenty of choice and good quality ingredients. We dined in the restaurant on both nights and although not an extensive menu the food was again excellent. Finally the staff were also great and friendly. The town of Grupen which is a short walk away is also wonderful with its' own brewery and is positioned between the beautiful city of Maastricht and the historic city of Aachen just over the border in Germany.

Bed had high wooden frames with squashy mattress so was like a giant child’s bed you couldn’t get out of without tangling with the high wooden mattress frame No air conditioning

way understaffed. receptionist was also barkeeper and waiter. resulting in lack of focus. No customer orientation i ithe first time in my life that a beer was served by a waiter while he was talking in his mobile phone 😩. several guests did not get the food the ordered. so that needed to be corrected. which caused additional stress

Lovely location for a dog walking, very friendly and helpful staff. Overall calm place, good parking abilities for free, even for bigger car.

Not being informed before arrival that the Restaurant was closed. We were there for six nights and although the towels were changed the bathroom was not cleaned once. More staff may have helped the overworked employees.

The Receptionist/Bar Person/Room Service Provider (Annete) was always friendly, polite even when under unessary pressure.

Great location and Gulpen is a lovely small town. The restaurant in this instance was closed. I hope it will open again.
