Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe booked a small double room but hadn't realised just how small it would be! Very little floor space so couldn't open our case on the floor. The bathroom was the smallest bathroom I have ever been in. The hot breakfast was very poor. It had been cooked and hour before so the eggs were inedible. However the cold items were good
Good location and very clean

AustraliaShower curtain needs to keep the water in (and not let water splash outside).
Excellent location as it is a four minute walk from Delft station. Situated right on the canal so some rooms have a lovely view. The reception and restaurant (1st level) are done up really well. Very friendly and helpful staff.

United StatesStudent housing is very close by. When the hotel leaves ear plugs on the night stand- that means something. Our first night was definitely an ear plug night because of a big college party right across the street. The other 2 nights were fine.
Great location and easy to get around the town.

United StatesProximity to the Train Station. The facade of the building, the entryway and the lounge were very quaint but my room was modernly renovated. The white colors added some light and warmth. My bed was so comfortable!! Everyday, I look forward to the breakfast. They are delicately presented and so yummy 😋

Ireland4pm check - it’s later than a lot of hotels we have stayed in & the room was not available any earlier. Considering check out is 11am it’s a shame. The pillows are like a brick! I did ask if I could change it. Reception asked housekeeping and it was a flat no. I found a cushion to use instead.
We had a very pleasant 3 night’s stay -Sat/Sun/Mon. Room was a good size. We liked having the seating area beside the windows looking out at the canal. Plenty of storage and a small handy fridge. The bathroom has been modernised and the shower is great! Reception Staff are friendly. We had breakfast in the hotel on the first morning- plenty of choice and helpful staff. Location is excellent- not too far from the station and a pleasant stroll from the centre.

The hotel was superbly situated, just 8 minutes walk from the train station and on a lovely canal. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.

JapanNo elevator. Narrow, steep stairs up was tough with the suitcase. Wake up call by ducks/swans at the canal way before expected time. But even these downsides make you feel you're in Delft and give you unforgettable experiences.
Very close from the central station. Also walking distance to the old town. Old building but comfortable.

NetherlandsThe street across the hotel was used as a racing circuit by multiple cars and motorbikes. There were still leftovers of previous customers in our room. The cleaning wasn't done properly. There were no power outlets next to the bed so we had to charge our phones at the desk, which was inconvenient.
Staff was helpful with resolving our issue of an unclean room. The instructions were clear as to how to access the hotel after 10pm. We got clean towels every morning, which is nice but not environmental friendly.

NetherlandsBecause it's in an old building that was converted as a hotel, the corridors are narrow and the rooms are quite small and there is also no elevator. Some reviewers complain about the neighbourhood being noisy, with a lot of students around, and also about creaky floors. When I went to bed, I used the earplugs provided by the hotel (obviously, the management is aware that it can be a bit noisy) and I slept fine. It was all OK, certainly for a short stay, but if you want a more luxurious experience or need a desk to work, you might want to go elsewhere.
The staff were very friendly and the hotel has a great location, a stone's throw from the Delft railway station. It's in an old building, but it has a homely charm. The room and bed was comfortable and, although there was a little wear and rear in the room, it seemed to have been properly cleaned. I paid roughly 100 Euros for a night, including breakfast, which was good value for money in my book. I'll happily stay there again if I have to spend a night in Delft in the future.

GreeceThe windows are old, so it is possible to hear some noise from the road. The bathroom was a bit small, mainly around the toilet area. Plump people might find it uncomfortable.
The location of the hotel was really good. It is right next to the train/bus station. The staff was very helpful. I found an error in the receipt after the payment (they had charged me with the daily tourist tax for two people, even though the reservation was only for one person), however the staff at the reception was eager to help and the problem was solved straight away; they refunded the extra amount in my bank account some days after. The breakfast was nice (options for vegan available). In the room, you can find an iron, a coffee machine and ear plugs.

United KingdomBathroom was very small and felt congested for 2 people using it. Every morning around 7.30 a really strong smell of frying bacon etc wafted into the room and the way from downstairs. The air downstairs in the breakfast room was pretty much filled with frying breakfast food . It was very disagreeable at times. The room had poor noise isolation from adjacent rooms where conversations from other guests could be clearly heard anytime.
Room was comfortable and well situated with canal view Breakfast was excellent Location was excellent - 2mn from the station and from city centre

United StatesBathroom was so tiny you couldn’t bend over. Tried to get me to accept a conversion from Euro to USD at time of pyt, with a 3.5% fee. Kept saying that’s the only way. I kept refusing, saying I wanted it run in Euros to let my CC do the conversion. It finally “timed out” thank god and let me pick, but the young woman kept telling me she had no idea how to run it any other way. Don’t give in!
Very close to train station.

NetherlandsThe hotel is in the inner city of Delft and it has single glass windows ( mandatory in the old town, it is not up to the hotel to change this). The room ( 2.floor) was pretty quiet but the cleaning ladies start to clean early in the morning and our sleep was pretty disrupted by this. Also, the breakfast times are difficult for people that like to sleep a bit longer, therefore we haven't tried the breakfast. The pillows could be less high, I got a bit neck pain.
The employees are very friendly and the room was very pretty. They also noticed our request for a more silent room. The area is very good and safe. It is a very short walk to good restaurants and the trainstation.
