The only concern I would have if you are in the older demographic you may struggle with the stairs as they are very steep. Our host was very helpful at taking our bags down the stairs. The stairs are the sort I am sure you will find every where in Amsterdam.

We loved the space, decor and location. The outside deck was wonderful to sit on and enjoy being part of every day life in Amsterdam. Wonderful hosts.

Nothing can be done about the occasional loud person wandering down the narrow little street in the middle of the night. Just don't expect complete silence. After all, you are in the heart of Amsterdam.

Everything you could need in a small apartment centrally located and walking distance to the central train station. There is an outdoor patio which is a wonderful place to sit and have a glass of wine. Lucy had to assist her mother at the time of our check in so she could not be there, but was in constant communication to ensure everything went smooth on our arrival and during our stay. Very comfortable and inviting place to stay.

Lucy was the highlight of this place, just the kindest lady I've ever met. The home was so comfortable and we were able to celebrate the new year at Dam Square as it was basically downstairs. Although the apartment is inner city, it was a lot quieter than we expected and it didn't bother us at all. The place was spacious and clean and Lucy's smile every time we met her made the stay ever more memorable. Thank you Lucy for everything xx

The only difficulty for us was the extremely steep stairs up to the first floor. However, this is normal for narrow Amsterdam houses and part of the charm of staying in an apartment rather than a hotel. If you have heavy luggage, just be warned you'll have some fun getting it up the stairs! But we're in our late sixties/seventies and we managed.

The location in central Amsterdam is perfect. You can walk just about anywhere you want to go or take a short tram ride. We've stayed in Amsterdam many times and Here's Lucy had the best location for us. Although close to bustling areas, the street itself is very narrow and quiet, not even accessible by car (although just a five-minute walk from a busy street with taxis and trams). We loved returning home every evening to the apartment. The apartment itself is spacious, particularly compared to a hotel, and well-equipped. We appreciated the extra table in the bedroom where I could work on my laptop. Also appreciated was the galley kitchen and the adjacent balcony. Although the host was not able to meet us in person, she was in contact via text and we felt we could reach out if we had questions. I highly recommend Lucy's Place if you are looking for a centrally-located apartment that feels like a real home with its slightly quirky furnishings and old KLM posters. We loved it.

Bit noisy in the bedroom from people walking in the alleyway at night. The lighting for reading was very poor in the bedroom and not much better in the living room. Stairs a bit steep but that is to be expected.

Location was easy to get to from the train station as long as you didn’t get lost. We did but that was just poor planning. Complimentary beverages were a nice touch. Enjoyed the outdoor terrace. Felt like you were living like a local.

I was on holiday with my daughter Chiara and we had the best of our time at Lucy's. The apartment is really big and lovely: the kitchen is well equipped; the sitting room is big and with a TV offering even Netflix; the bathroom is clean and provided with all the products you might need; last but not least, the bedroom is fantastic with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The house is in a great location close to the centre so that you can reach all the places you wish to visit on foot. But the icing on the cake is Lucy herself. She is a very charming, sweet and lovely host. We will definitely come back!

There was nothing not to like, unless you have poor mobility as the entrance into the property was up a steep flight of stairs, however, this wasn't a problem for us.

The apartment was fab. Lucy and her husband live below, and were on hand to help out wherever they could, whether that be posting my postcard for me ( as I couldn't find a postbox) to allowing us to store our luggage due to a later flight once we had vacated. The property itself was very clean and spacious, and Lucy had thought of everything from welcome drinks in the fridge, and tea, coffee, etc on tap. The little balcony/ terrace was great as we are both smokers and somewhere to have our morning cuppa, however obviously this time of year we had to wrap up warm but still made lots of use of it. The property itself is situated about 5 or 6 mins from Dam sq, which we found very useful with copius shops, eateries, bars, coffee shops, and lots of attractions. All in all, if you are thinking of a visit to Amsterdam, be sure to give this apartment a go, don't think we've had such a lovely welcoming host as Lucy before, everything was just perfect.

There was nothing not to like about this apartment, the only feedback is for the host to provide an easier way for people to control the heating. I had to ask the host to switch it on as it is controlled from their phone and it felt as if I was disturbing the host when asking super late at night.

The apartment is cute, it has a lot of appliances one can use and it also has a little outdoor space. The location is brilliant, everything is within walking distance and there are 2 tram stops only a couple of minutes away. The host was super nice, and they recommend places and restaurants to visit. The street the apartment is in is quiet at night and bright and busy in the morning. There is also a small convenience store near by.

we love the location, the terrace and its bright and airy feel..it's great for catching sight of planes heading in and out of schipol, and a cinch for accessing trams and the shops. we love staying here and having a bolt hole to explore our favourite city.

It's not really a "dislike" at all, just a warning. The narrow, steep stairway can be tricky with heavy luggage. But this is quite common in all of Amsterdam.

Lucy's place was perfect! And even though it rained much of the time, we enjoyed the patio from inside and outside. Check-in was a breeze. We didn't get to meet Lucy, but her husband Dick was a great help in getting our cumbersome luggage up the stairs. The location was also perfect, walking distance to almost everything, and a tram stop just steps away for those further adventures. Will definitely return!
