How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The lighting was poor. The bedside lamps were so low that they did not shine on my reading material when I was lying in bed. The furnishings were quite stark, not very cozy.
The location was very convenient - the train station and many museums and sites are within walking distance. We could see the steeples of the Martini Church and the Aa Church from our window. The bed was very comfortable. It was great having a refrigerator and a coffee/tea maker in the room. The staff was very friendly.

Central location We had a very large room Nice breakfast with healthy options. They even arrange a vegan breakfast if you ask for it

Value for money aspect has a scope for improvement. For example,the pricing can be more competitive for the size and overall amnities of the room including breakfast. Certains rooms they have has old fashioned layout and bit gloomy. These rooms can be at lower prices despite it's relatively large size than the usual modern ones. This is just a suggestion.
Entire customer support team throughout the day at the reception is excellent in providing services with that contagious smile. Hotel location is supremely convinient. Special mention with a round of applause to Mr. Sibo ( Night shift manager at the reception ) for his passion towards his work at his age and for his tremendous care towards customers. It is very inspiring to say the least. Highly recommended! We will definitely be staying with them next time.

It’s a 1st world problem but there where no sockets anywhere near the bed to charge stuff
The service was excellent. We had very early starts and the night manager guy was awesome.

Only one chair in the bedroom (maybe different room grades have 2?) so we sat in the bar and lounge.
Excellent city centre location. Very quiet room, well decorated in calm colour scheme. Excellent en-suite shower room. Comfortable bed. Coffee machine, kettle, choice of coffee and teas provided. Buffet breakfast had good selection of food, choose to eat in lovely light cafe-bar area or at table in lounge area.

There is no closet, so clothes are hung on an open rack. We opted for cleaning every three days (green option), room was dusty quickly since we like opening the window so regretted that...
The room was spacious. There's a coffee machine and a kettle in the room. The staff was helpful. There is a nice lounge where you can socialize if you are traveling in a group. The location is great in the city center, close to everything, including being a walking distance to the station (15-20 min).

Great location, in the city centre, but in a quite part, so even on Koenigsdag it was quiet. Great rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Very good breakfast! We felt very welcome (even) with a two-year-old. :-) The staff was very professional and extremely nice and helpful. When we had some special requests, they helped us immediately. Thanks again!

The hotel is in an excellent location in central area. The room very comfortable and clean. The staff was super friendly. I would stay there again and I recommend it to all. Thumbs up guys!

Can’t really fault them on anything!
The property is in an excellent location in the city and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very relaxed with plenty of food options.

The lighting in the hotel room was very dark. Would have liked to have some bright lighting in the main room, not just the bathroom.
