Excellent location for our visit: just around the corner from the Concertgebouw and close to the Rijksmuseum. A quiet hotel, with good shower, and a decent breakfast.

My room was a semi-underground with no openable window.

Location was great. I planned to visit Concertgebouw, and it was only one minute on foot. Museums were also in a walking distance, that was great for me.

The price is high but that's Amsterdam for you. They could've perhaps had a few more free amenities like more coffee or something. A few of the lights didn't work in the room but it was just minor details.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Having read a lot of the reviews about carpets being dirty etc., we saw first-hand they were brand new and this matched the rest of the decor. For the price and location, it can't be beat.

Staff They helped us to change another XO hotel in the peak season without much extra charge in the centre of Amsterdam. They tried to help us to call other XO hotel to find out the room we want when we arrived there and found the room we booked is wrong one. They are so nice and patient to hear what is happened and solve out this question for us. So we did not spend much our time to get right room and can follow our original plan to visit Amsterdam.

The room wasn’t vacuumed daily. It was a little dusty, which triggered my allergies.

The room was spacious, staff were friendly and polite, house keeping provided daily top up’s of shampoo/conditioner/body wash/toilet paper/tissues, and the hotel was in a very safe neighbourhood and surrounding excellent transportation options.

Housekeeping lost my socks and I asked twice about it and no one did much about it. Would have loved for them to give us hotel slippers to wear in the room.

The location was lovely! Nice area and very close to transport links such as the tram and buses. The room was clean and comfortable! The lady at the front desk the first night was helpful and provided us with some charging cables as we forgot ours.

The price is a little steep, but most of Amsterdam is 🤷‍♀️

Great location, it is walking distance to museums like Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, Moco, Diamond, with green areas around. Trams are close by, very easy to move around in different parts of town . There is a lovely park nearby. The hotel itself is in a very quiet area , AirPort Express 397 stops 5 min away . They have lovely staff, very helpful, and good breakfast variety.

The room needed some tlc. The bed rests had material coming off them. More than one pillow a bed would be good. Shower needed cleaned properly as there were still hair and other things still in the shower when we first went to use it

I didn't like the door where the cold was blowing, I don't know why, also the clothes hangers were weak. There was so much dust in the room and they didn't clean it properly, they only took out the garbage and changed the towels.

There are some things that didn't work exactly as planned, and given the price of accomodation in Amsterdam, I think they shouldn't be overlooked. Tourists pay a lot so perhaps these might serve as suggestions for improvement. 1. Booked a room with 2 single beds, got a room with one double bed, so we kind of started off on the wrong foot. That was really uncomfortable because the pillows and the mattress weren't the greatest, and we had to share one duvet during the first night. Tried to change rooms the following morning, but apparently it would have been too complicated, like checking out and checking in again later, so we got an extra duvet and tried to make it work. 2. There was cold air constantly coming from the ventilation above the bed, right above our heads, which was also a stressful factor during the night. We checked to see if the AC was accidentally left on, but it rather looked like it was coming from outside, maybe due to the wind. When the heat was on we didn't feel the cold air, so we tried to make do like that. 3. The drain in the bathroom was an interesting model of design: it was put in a higher spot in the shower, and the water wasn't going there, but rather preferred to leak towards the room. We had to take speed showers, to make sure we don't flood the room we were supposed to sleep in.

The location was the best one possible in Amsterdam: very close to Museumplein. Tourist attractions were easy to reach, while tram stations were also within 5 minutes walk, so basically getting anywhere was easy. The room was tiny, but clean, and we managed to make ourselves quite comfortable for 3 nights despite some inconveniences.

Breakfast can be better (quantity and quality). Carpets need some refreshment. At 200 euro/night, this hotel is overpriced. You are basically paying for location.

Excellent location. Luggage room available. For a short stay this hotel serves its purpose.
