Its a beautiful place, so calm and relaxing. Even though it was raining when we were they but still felt very romantic place.

Breakfast service was excellent, everything was presented on the table, however the quality of the breakfast was not equivalent to the price.

Service at dinner was slow, could have been better. After dinner we asked for tea to be served in the bar area where we were adjourning to play a card game. The tea came with treats - macarons, nougat, Canelé and chocolates. We thought we were being given a generous treat but when I checked out, I noticed we were charged for it, which was disappointing. I didn’t say anything as I didn’t want to make a fuss - we had had a really good time.

As we were traveling with my 90 year old mother in law, before our stay I requested a room with as many obstacles as possible removed and for a raised toilet for my mother in law’s bathroom. She was given a really spacious room and her bathroom had a raised toilet seat and she felt very comfortable. The staff were courteous, helpful and very kind towards us all. The dinner we booked in for was exceptional and the breakfast superb. The grounds of the Kasteel were beautiful and we had some nice short walks which my mother in law really enjoyed. We will be back.

WiFi could have been a little stronger. I stayed in one of the additional buildings and had to turn off my video during a couple of meetings.

Kasteel Engelenburg is situated on a gorgeous property. The building has been lovingly maintained and is just beautiful. The staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. I enjoyed all my meals here (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) - everything is elegantly presented and delicious. I wasn't at Engelenburg to play golf, but I could still admire the grounds with a walk around the property. Furthermore, there are bikes for guests (regular bikes are free, e-bikes can be rented for a small fee) and immediate access to bike paths to explore the region. I can't recommend them highly enough!

We love, love, love this place and come back to Engelenburg once in a while. The atmosphere is wonderful- a bit of royalty, a bit of safari, a bit of luxury, a bit of vintage charme. Not everything is perfect but this is exactly what it makes the hotel so special. The restaurant is excellent. I would definitely recommend to dine here. And of course you need to enjoy their terrace with view to the lake and the golf course.

The staff is incredibly friendly and forthcoming, also an eye for detail. The facilities are neat and clean. The location is amazing, surrounded by a oat you get the feeling you are on a private island getaway. There is a very good wine selection, and dining is exceptional.

There is no room to store and charge e-bikes. You are not allowed to stroll the property during the day, because of the golfers.

The castle is very beautiful, especially the dining/breakfast area. We stayed in the rooms in the building on the right, which were very spacious. The toilets are conveniently separate from the bathrooms. The bathrooms offer good showers and the room itself is very luxurious with good air-conditioning. We had an amazing dinner and they had no problem with only serving us half glasses of wine. Also, the breakfast was extensive and served at your table.

There was nothing not to like.

The landscape and main building are just beautiful. Breakfast was the best I have ever had by far. I must return yearly from now on. The newsletter at breakfast with itinerary suggestions for the day was a nice touch.

The room did not have a lot of direct sunlight, the balcony was not very wide and there was only one other small window.

Garden wasn’t in the same, perfect state as the rest of the location. Nobody asked us if we wanted the breakfast; it was simply presented to us and there was no choice as to the breakfast menu. A bit too much taste for me in the early morning to be honest.

Room was somewhat outdated (cracks in the window, old bathroom), lot of noise from fellow guests, not possible to use bar because of party, long wait for checkout.

Beautiful building, great landscape (although unfortunately not allowed for a walk, only for golfers). Dinner was very good.

As per booking.com I paid more money for luxury room But d they said booking they didn’t book for u and they asked me for more money and when I contact with email booking they didn’t answer me and I paid 830 euro.

- Dinner service is incredibly slow (arrival 7.30pm - Menu given at 8.10- end of three course menu 10..15 pm - quality of food average). Much better and refined dining alternatives are Klooster in Zutphen and Watermelon in Velp - Group of golfers are placed in the best places (veranda overlooking the pond garden) while individual travellers are relegated in a side room) - Motel like welcome on arrival ( guests have to find their rooms and carry their luggage by themselves

The rooms are very poorly furnished and decorated. The shower in the bathroom was plastic, badly fitted and broken. For a room of that price one can expect better quality.

The building is beautiful and so is the location.
