So-called ‘romantic’ style suite puts bathroom and bedroom in same space, no options. No separate shower or way of curtaining off bathroom space, so any leakage or spray gets all over bed, suitcases etc. unless you are extremely careful. At least toilet is separate. Ground floor floor-to-ceiling windows looking onto the communal parking lot basically means you have to keep all curtains closed until you are comfortable with being seen. Coffee making facilities in bedroom but no tea making. Impossible to actually regulate heat with remote control provided. Basically, a lot of focus on ‘design’ features without thinking about what design might be most comfortable for guests.

An interesting old property in a lovely location convenient to Maastricht. Amazing in-room breakfast.

There was a lot of noise audible from the people in the room next door. Both during the afternoon and at 3 am. Although an old building, the walls are quite thin and sound carries. The room was also hot and one of the velux windows would not stay open

The castle and location was beautiful. Unfortunately, if you arrive after 7:00 PM there will be no one at the reception. We had to search for our room in the dark and because there is almost no light in the garden or at the entrance to the castle, this was quite difficult. We then received the wrong instructions, which meant we were in the wrong part of the castle, so we spent half an hour looking for the room. Finally a lady came and, somewhat reluctantly, showed us the correct route. The room was nice and the breakfast was fine. Unfortunately, breakfast was not served in the breakfast room but in the room.

Unfortunately the plunge pool was not in service during our stay.

The manor house and gardens were beautiful. We ate at the restaurant Sofa and it far exceeded expectations; delicious food, calm ambiance, friendly and attentive staff. We did find it hilarious that the view directly across the water was of a giant concrete factory.

The bathroom was rather small without a window. The road to the hotel was full of potholes and not well kept, this in stark contrast to the gardening fascilities that were well maintained and beautiful. Drive to City Center takes about 15 minutes by car.

Nice location in a old castle immediately at the Maas river. Very friendly staff. Very well equipped rooms, all electrocal appliances functioning well. The room was very clean, the bed was excellent. Living Room with high ceilings :-)

The bedrooms were quiet far away from each other, with a child that was not ideal. But the rest was perfect!

The bathroom looked a bit old and the sweeming pool didn't work this weekend.

It's an amazing place situated in a very nice location. Room was great, decorated for Xmas. And we also receiced some Christmas presents from a local chocolat store and drinks were included in the price. I really liked vinyl player in the room and the choice of music.

Have to take an Uber or other taxi to get places although if you like walking or biking in cold or rain it’s not that far into the city

The room could be cleaner. Spiderwebs on the ceiling. The reception closes already at 5.30pm, we had to look for the room ourselves. No acces the manor, only the room. You don’t have the feeling of staying in a manor.

No shops or attractions nearby other than cycling or looking at sheep but it would be a lovely romantic getaway for a night. 25-20 minute drive into Maastricht central - you need a car! Steep stairs to all rooms including Royal suite and apartment. If you have lots of luggage or mobility issues you would need to specify ground floor suite.

Beautiful heritage property in semi-rural location. Luxe accomodation with complimentary mini bar - wine, beer, tea coffee. Royal suite room is huge and glamorous - beautiful views from many windows and a balcony - money well spent. Tower room upstairs was more basic.

Hotel seemed under resourced and staff seemed distracted with a wedding over two days. Was not advised re food/ restaurant or breakfast arrangements upon checking in. No receptionist for most of morning on day 2. Bath in studio was leaking with towel surrounding pipework.

Location is on outskirts of Maastricht beside Marina. Short drive to city centre. Rooms were quaint and comfortable

Taxis in and out of town are expensive.

We absolutely loved our suite at the castle. It was so spacious and luxurious, the decor was fabulous , it was gave us a real Chateau experience. The mini-bar items were tasteful and complimentary, as we're the Espresso tea and coffee facilities. The grounds and whole setting are amazing.

Pillows too high, we both woke up with pain in our neck. Would be good to have 2 options to pick from. The mattress on the other hand is very good and comfortable.

There was some sort of party on the grounds and it was very loud until very late. Must not be any sound proofing in the walls. Plus one of the windows would not close-former type. Should have been told about it prior…

The grounds are stunning and being on the river is perfect. The breakfast was unbelievable. Loved it!!! The room is unique actually an apartment. The restaurant food is delicious however the service was slow

Stay relates to main suites in castle. If you want the wow factor this is it. Rooms are amazing, acres of room stylish, unusual features and a great sense of occasion when you arrive at the entrance hall. Staff are fantastic. They all really went the extra mile sorting out the restaurants, taxis and extending our cycle hire. They are the hotels greatest asset. Thank you. This was the last night on our 4 week European tour and really hit the brief for an exceptional stay in a lovely hotel. It could not have worked out better.
