- Beautiful, rural location - An extremely warm welcome from Anouk and the staff - Stunning grounds to explore - A gorgeous, natural swimming pool - Fridges containing drinks (with very nice wine) and snacks in various areas of the property. You then note down what you have taken and post into an honesty box to pay at the end of your stay - Alpacas, Sheep and Koi which you can feed - A selection of homemade pastries and cakes on offer - We loved the concept of low-waste around the hotel - Delicious breakfast with high quality coffee - The staff could not have been more helpful. We arrived a little later in the day after an 11 hour drive and struggled to get a booking in any nearby restaurants; but Anouk at the front desk happily helped by making a phone call for us - we would highly recommend visiting De Hertog Jan Proeverij nearby. - Extremely comfy bed and pillows - we slept SO well. - Generous-sized room and bathroom - Ideal location for visiting the Oorlogsmuesem in Overloon (if you have a car) - Smells of fresh herbs and flowers in all rooms - Amazing value for money!

It is very hard to judge what and how much you want to eat for breakfast, especially if you go for the first time. This is required to be mentioned the day before, as they are planning and preparing it for you, and want to produce as little waste as possible.

A great place. They have a nice nature around the house. Small playground and some animals for children. The complete place is eco friendly, from non-producing waste, healthy food, wooden things in the hotel ..

Maybe the rooms could use more sound proofing

Breakfast was amazing, generous and delicious. The bonfire that is lit every night was one of the best features, we made lots of new friends just by sitting around it. The entire place smells like fresh herbs and homemade goods. There are plenty of drinks and snacks available around the property. The park with the lake is beautiful.

There was nothing to not like. Everything was great. Abit like a hotel you'd find in California.

Beautifully laid out gardens, attention to details from music at the parking area to essential oil smells in the reception area. Use of lovely wood and materials and natural infusion in the decor.

The attention to detail, the friendliness of the staff, the facilities and the food was just exceptional. A lovely place to stay. The breakfast, although on the pricey side, was delicious and worth it - completely free choice of what we were going to have. A very good place to relax!

Superb hotel, great friendly helpful staff, a credit to the owners. Breakfast was best I have had in a long time. loved feeding the Alpacas , black sheep and the fish. Rooms excellent and will certainly be back.

it is located perfect for activities around with kids. The alpaca/ goat farm and marshmallows by fire os great for kids. we were there for Easter so did even have egg hunt arranged ❤️ the stuff is very friendly and there are amenities available 7/24
