excellent breakfast ,excellent spacious room. The hosts are really engaging and helpful. We were given a map of recommended sights and eating and drinking places which enriched our visit. Henk with his wry sense of humor was quick to help and clearly loves his town.

Didn't love the stairs, but you're well warned about them when you book. I also tripped on and stubbed my toes on the little ledge leading from the room to the bathroom. I knew it was there, but in the middle of the night, I forgot about it and knocked my foot on it each night.

Wonderful hosts full of helpful information and kindness! Truly the main reason to stay here. Breakfast was good, especially the fresh croissants and orange juice - delicious way to start the day. Location was convenient to so much of Haarlem, as well as some buses, which I used during my stay.

Amazing hosts who thought of absolutely everything to make our stay enjoyable! Spacious and immaculately clean room for 3 people. We stayed during Easter and were even surprised with an Easter egg each on return from day out!

Ist was the perfect stay. Annemarie and Henk make you feel at home from the first moment on. We loved our tiny room, the lovely breakfast (don’t miss the yogurt!) and the chats with Annemarie and Henk. Their recommendations were great and their passion for what they are doing is heart-warming! All the very best!

Very lovely hotel in the best place you can look for if you stay in Harlem. Staff in hotel were very helpful and super nice. The room was each day immaculately cleaned up. Very comfortable bed mattresses and pillows. The breakfast was really good: fresh orange juice and the coffee just 👍👍👍. Great links to Amsterdam. Highly recommend!

The hotel is perfect, and although it is only 3 minutes from indoor parking (Raaks), Haarlem is not a cheap place to own a car.

Great location, 3 minutes from the Grote Maarkt. Very friendly, efficient and helpful team. This is a wonderful, traditional family-run hotel in the heart of Haarlem - with a genuine spirit of old-fashioned hospitality. The breakfast room is congenial and warm. The rooms, very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Henk and Annemarie are wonderful hosts. Very knowledgeable about the area. Spotlessly clean rooms,amazing breakfast and very reasonably priced. The perfect location to explore the wonderful city of Haarlem. We will definitely be going back and this is the place we will stay 100%.

Fabulous hotel. The friendliest hosts you could hope to meet. As somebody who has visited a lot of B&Bs and hotels, I felt that Hotel Malts was just a little special. A true hidden gem. Spotlessly clean, great breakfasts and in an ideal location. I’ll be back! Thank you to the two proprietors Henk and Annemarie and their cheerful staff who made my stay so memorable

We were enjoying ourselves so much in Haarlem, that we didn't have time to visit Amsterdam! Never mind... I guess we'll have to come back...

The best things about Hotel Malts are the owners, Henk and AnneMarie, who were very welcoming and helpful. They are closely followed by the excellent location and the terrific breakfast! We enjoyed our stay so much that we have promised ourselves that we will return before too long.

Kind, thoughtful, helpful, considerate staff, brimming with information on dining, shopping, touring, using local transportation. Easy walk from the train station after arrival; we greatly appreciated information on catching the bus back to Schiphol (quicker and simpler than the train).
