Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe entrance to the hotel is not easy to access and behind gates. Good from a safety perspective but challenging at night. You need to get through the gate and then wait to be buzzed into the foyer of the hotel. It feels like too many barriers to enter the hotel especially after a night out in Amsterdam
The room was spacious and overlooking the water. This hotel is close enough to Amsterdam central without having to navigate too many tourists.a metro stop is close by and the hotel has a shuttle to the ferry. A nice touch were the Easter eggs we received.

United KingdomThe hotel was great but lacked local character.
A large family room with an enormous double bed and a comfortable single for our daughter. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide choice and lots of fresh food. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location is a little way from the city centre but we really enjoyed the swift frequent ferry rides and the peaceful walk. The free shuttle bus was also welcome when we travelled with heavy suitcases, and driver Ali was a great source of local information.

MoldovaA bit far from the city centre, although for us it was not a great problem. The weather was good and we used to walk to the ferry to reach the centre. The ferry is free of charge.
Very clean and new, staff very nice, a good price.

United KingdomShowing wear & tear in the corridors. We prefer a walk in shower rather than shower over the bath. The room was so spacious but could look and feel luxurious with some wee touches like paintings and sumptuous seating and footstools in the separate sitting area. The fridge had a lonely bottle of water and the in-room coffee wasn’t good. Maybe an espresso or similar which is what we had in the other hotels. We stayed in 6 hotels (mainly 4 star but also a 3 star and a 5) over our hols in Netherlands and Germany and this one had the poorest breakfast and was the most expensive hotel. Breakfast was ok but the ingredients weren’t great quality (boiled eggs tasteless, cereals not great). The chef made customised omelettes though.
We had a room on the corner overlooking the canal. It was spacious, with great air-conditioning and it was especially lovely as those booking us in had seen my request for a similar room to the one we’d had last time (pre Covid) and had booked us the same room type but overlooking the canal which was lovely and so quiet (room 291). Great reception staff. Liked the shuttle bus which drops you now at the back of central station (used to be across the road in front of their partner NHhotel which seemed quicker to get to & handier to be honest). Good car parking & reasonably priced.

United StatesFor some reason, our cards kept getting de-activated despite not storing them near tablets, phones, or other credit cards. It was quite annoying by the third time and we had to wait outside the gate for another hotel guest to let us in the lot on the second night. It happened to all 3 people in the room more than once.
Great staff and location. We were able to get the room with 3 beds that we requested, which was great.

Azerbaijan- Although most of the staff was really friendly, they might not be always very helpful. I was sleeping sick, I kindly asked for 1 Paracetamol pill over the phone. First, they said they had. However, after a few minutes, they called that they couldn’t give me anything, I needed to visit the store outside the hotel. So, make sure that you have all medicine you might need, staff won’t find anything for you. - I was there for the new year, unfortunately they didn’t have anything to offer. No new year programs, no activities. Only in Museum Square, there were light shows, and it was extremely difficult to go back to the hotel for the Museum Square. No public transport was working, even shuttle option was not offered in the new year. Taxi was €100 at that time. We had to walk for 35 min to the ferry, 2 min by ferry, again 15 min walk to the hotel. Overall, almost 1 hour walking at night. Again, it was the new year, that’s why. - There were no flip-flops in the room. - There is never anyone in the reception. You always have to ask them to come. That was something really annoying. Some staff members were really kind, so you would not mind waiting for them. But others could be very annoying.
- Shuttle to Central Station. Although the location was fairly good, it was just 10 min. walk from the Noordpark metro station which comes directly after the Central Station, you still have chance to use the shuttle to the centre till almost the midnight. Basically, you are 1 station away from the city centre. Also, there is a 2 min. ferry to the city centre, you can walk to the ferry within 15 min or again take the hotel’s shuttle there. - Facilities are exceptional. There is even a computer room for just customers. - There is a cool restaurant for chilling in the hotel. Prices are reasonable. - Breakfast was wonderful. It was €18.90 per person and you have a lot of options. It should be tried. - The language was not a barrier, hence everyone could speak English up to some extent.

BrazilI would say the bathroom was a lower point but is not bad at all. Perhaps a little dark and it could use more ventilation. The hallways could also be freshened up... but again, nothing that would make your experience less pleasant.
Excellent hotel, attentive staff, great service. We had a great time at this hotel but most important, all of our needs and "demands" were met, from early check-in to helping us print a couple of documents or assisting us in booking an appointment. Can't thank you enough! Despite being located at Noord, this hotel offers free van service to Central Station which is very convenient. The area is mostly residential, but there are a few good restaurants around as well as stores and a big supermarket. A 15 minutes walk will get you to the ferry that will take you to the center of the city.
