Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe breakfast option was lacking. You cannot just choose from the menu, it was just one price, and included a limited buffet and menu together. It was not worth the cost to have breakfast at the hotel.

United KingdomThere was a mixup with us being told via written letter given at check in that we had breakfast included and £100 of credit to use with the method of payment we selected but when we went for the breakfast we were told this wasn’t true and although we didn’t mind - it was a bit of a time waste and we were asked to go and get the letter and wait while the staff figured out where the mix up happened. We didn’t want anything for free or anything extra but we were only in Amsterdam for one full day and this delayed us leaving the hotel by about 20-30 minutes
Brilliant location - close to red light district but far enough away that it wasn’t noisy at night. Hotel itself is stunning and we were greeted with Prosecco on arrival. Room had lovely view. Felt very luxurious

The central location is wonderful. The rooms were beautifully decorated with special touches, and quality furniture. There were complimentary drinks to mark King’s day which was lovely and also I enjoyed the harpist in the lobby in the mornings.

Very nice room, not large but comfortable. Large bathroom. Lovely towels. Comfortable beds. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast in a charming dining room. Wonderful dinner, don't be put off by the relatively small menu and the unusually brief menu descriptions; amazed they don't promote dinner more. Nice touch by serving complimentary canapé and sparkling wine 4.30 to 5.30

Staff were spectacular. The location was great. Easy to get anywhere in the city. We used the restaurant for breakfast only but enjoyed the canal views. Our room looked over a canal and was very nice. I would highly recommend recommend it. The access to all the sites is great.

We loved the hotel, it was in a very central area so you could easily explore on foot. The staff at the hotel was excellent, they we very friendly and helpful when called upon. We stayed here with a dog, and she was treated like a guest, which isn't often the case. I would stay here again.
