Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWhile I had no problems at all with my stay here as it was brilliant and I would easily stay here again, The only thing I will mention (this is not a problem or a complaint with my stay) is that since I was staying on the top floor (second story) the stairs were quite steep to get up. They are a lot steeper than the stairs in the house I currently live in. While I had absolutely no problem going up and down them every day that I was there, This maybe be a challenge for someone that has limited mobility or possibly suffers from vertigo to complete if they chose to stay here.
If you are staying here in the summer because of an event here or because of the the racing at Zandvoort then its quite close. (about 15 minutes approx. at a fast-ish walk.) In the morning if you have the window open and its a racing weekend and you listen closely you can hear them working on the cars in the distance and doing tire changes etc. The house is in a great location, its close to the centre of the town for all your shopping needs and even closer to the train station and the beach which are both just quite literally less than 5 minutes away in opposite directions to each other! Janke and Herman were brilliant hosts, They were very socialable and made sure that I knew exactly were everything was and knew how to use all of the equipment in the room. The room that I was staying in was very well equipped with everything I could possibly need for a short term stay. It was also very clean and tidy and even through I was at the back of the house, Since it was very sunny during the weekend I was there, there were great sunrises. I would definitely recommend a stay here when you come to Zandvoort!

United KingdomThe stairs up to the flat are quite steep but the room more than made up for it.
we were racing at Zandvoort Circuit and the location was perfect, short walk from the track and a short walk to the centre of town. We took the train to Amsterdam and the station is literally around the corner. Janke and Herman were perfect Hosts. The studio flat was well equipped with a beautiful view of the Sea. Perfect Place to Stay for our short Trip.

Very sweet and clean little room. Sunrise view 😊♥️, right next to the sea, very close to train station, close to supermarket. Very convenient area.

Good location (waking distance from train station and the sea, quiet area). Nice and helpful hosts. When hearing about my plans to visit the tulip garden in Keukenhof, the hostess suggested me to rent a bike - it turned out to be an excellent idea because I got to see much more! E.g. dunes, deers, birds, tulip fields, smaller villages, etc. Cozy room (I had candles, a fresh tulip bouquet and chocolates on the table when I arrived). Sufficient kitchen equipment. Everything was very clean and tidy. Nice firm bed. I would definitely stay there again.
