Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsThere is a church and its bell rings every half hour. Especially on Saturday at 8am, the bell was ringing for 10 minutes. Small and tight room for sleep and shower only. No elevator and the stairs are very steep and narrow. The breakfast is simple and changeless. No parking, but there is a free P+R within 5min walking distance.
At city center. There are Jumbo and good restaurants within walking distance. Nice price. Stable warm shower water.

NetherlandsThe beds are very uncomfortable; too soft, light matrasses that feel like sleeping on a sponge. To double bed consist of two small beds put together and are so light that at night during sleep, they separate, and one gets stuck in between. Close to the edge, it feels like you are falling off because the softness of the mattress is worse near the edges. The shower was small and cheap. The shower head was very small and cheap and had not been renewed in years. The staff (owner) is very unfriendly. When we arrived in the evening, she wasn't very welcoming and seemed annoyed that she was disturbed. We got no information about where to park the car or use the Wifi. When I wanted to ask, no one was there. So I called the hotel to speak with someone. In the morning, when I mentioned the beds, she was defensive rather than understanding. When I was away, my wife and son heard she was saying to people that I am a difficult person and was mean about money. This is because I told her that €150 per night is not little money and a would expect a decent bed. That is really unacceptable that an owner talks in that way about a guest to others in front of the guest's child. The children's beds were high sleepers, except the highest bed had little space because the crooked roof had no edge and, again, that soft mattress. My 10-year-old son was a bit afraid to sleep there. We had pizza boxes from the first night since we arrived at 21.00h, and every restaurant was closed from 20.30h. They didn't clean up the boxes the next day, and there was no place in the hotel to throw them ourselves. FOR THAT MONEY, IT IS EASY TO FIND SOMEPLACE MUCH BETTER!
The location was fine except for the fact that the parking wasn't possible on site. It is 800 meters walk. The beach is 20 minutes walk.
