Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

My first time staying here. It’s money well spent. If you’d like to visit Breda, this could be your base. Free parking, free WiFi and super nice swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. This is a business hotel, so the WiFi is strong and stable. Additionally, the staff here are proficient in English. Breakfast: around $22 per person. Great selection from salad, to cheese, to all kinds of granola for yogurt, to Dutch waffle , to at least three kinds of eggs and to fresh-pressed orange juice in a spacious environment with natural lighting. Swimming pool/Jacuzzi/Sauna/gym: free - A must-try. - The swimming pool (ok heated) is 140cm deep while the jacuzzi is 90cm deep. Great size for a couple of laps! - There are two sauna rooms - a traditional Japanese style and a misty one. Must go! - spacious jacuzzi with room temperature water and bubbles. Comfort Double room with open bathtub - I love my room! Great side for two. Nice lighting and room setup! Water pressure is nice and it features both a waterfall shower and big shower head! Separated toilet with motion sensors light - superb! A lot of space for clothes hanging - over all it’s money well-spent. The only downside is the isolation is bad. You can definitely hear what people are talking about while they pass your door. Parking - free parking with tons of spots (need to ask for electric charging) Overall, I enjoyed my time staying here very much! Higher chance it will be my next stay when I visited Breda! Thanks van der Valk! SpainMaybe because the rooms are all spacious and sort of luxurious, the prices are also very very high. It's a hotel in the middle of nowhere, sort of, and perhaps the chance to offer more affordable prices for the people just staying the night would be very welcomed. The pillows were too big and soft, like reclining on the sofa pillows.
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. A lot of amenities provided as well. It was spotlessly clean and offered a lot of options for storing your things. Shower pressure was very good as well.

BelgiumUpon arrival, the coffee/tea tray was neither cleaned up nor refilled so the cups and glasses were dirty, and there was no coffee pod anymore. Everything was then refurbished on request. - The breakfast was too expensive as we usually don't eat much at breakfast so we didn't take it.
Comfortable bed. - Overall nice room.

SwedenHotel is located just off the motorway, super convenient and is of a high standard. Rooms are large compared with many other hotels so the vibe in the room is calm. Separate toilet to bathroom is a nice touch, excellent shower. I sleep very well when I stay here and it's now a frequent stopping off point for me. I'll be back for sure

United KingdomVery poor and expensive breakfast. The cold selection was ok but limited the hot selection was very poor. Bacon burnt and a crispy mess, beans were spicy and horrible the sausage was tough. Eggs were fine. Coffee machine didn’t work properly. Used to be very good but now average at best.

BelgiumThe housekeeping was good for making bed, clean the room. But for a stay of whole week, the ash tray was never cleaned. In another week, I saw the glasses were dirty, asked reception to inform the housekeeping to bring clean glasses the next day. But the next evening, still the same dirty glasses stayed on the table. Called the reception, they brought other glasses immediately, but they were also dirty. I guess many glasses were not cleaned properly? This was a bit surprising, because the hotel is really nice.
Very beautiful and stylish rooms, good fitness, the size of the swimming pool was also good, not too small. You could also enjoy the sauna, jacuzzi. Close to the office where I had meetings, the parking is free. Friendly staff. All facilities were fine, very pleasant stay.

United KingdomThe toilets in the lobby looked very flash but I was unsuccessful with drying my wet hands, so although the ladies toilets looked very good indeed, I am not sure if everything was working as it should be.
The room was spacious and very clean and tidy. We did not eat in the hotel as we were meeting our Dutch relations who had made alternative eating arrangements for us. The bed was very comfortable. There was a free safe which was easy to use. The hotel was very easy to find in the car and wasn't far from Breda.
