How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Without a car, it is diffcult to get in there. Parking space is a bit far away from hotel.
Very good stay in a beautiful park. Plenty of selection in breakfast. Spacious room and bathroom.

Room not very soundproof, of course it depends on you neighbor whether this is a problem or not. In my case I had a loud snorer and puffer in the next room, who decided that the bed needed to be at a different location in the room and noisily moved the furniture over the floor (and back in the early morning)
Large clean room, nice bed. Pleasant hotel in countryside surroundings. Very good breakfast, nice bar, both in comfortable area's. The staff was (as stated by the hotel itself) "at some distance from the labour market", but as far as I am concerned, the boys are girls are doing an excellent job !

Car park is a little bit far but that’s managable.
Great location in the forest, if you like to stay away from the cities and want to get grounded in nature, that’s the place to go. What you get with this price is one of the best I have ever seen.

Long walk from the car park to reception. Room was very warm.
Beautiful grounds. Staff very friendly, polite and accommodating. Concept of students gaining work experience very inspiring as an organisation.

We expected something else from the swimming pool, but it was still ok.
We were really happy with the location. The room was really nice and has a lot of space. The breakfast was good, and I asked for gluten free bread, which was available, so that was nice as well.

Room was large and nice, but bathroom clearly outdated and balcony was not clean, spiderwebs all the place 🕸️
Very friendly staff, in particular one lady that was there, very friendly and accommodating, while it seemed she had to run the whole place, chapeau.

Dinner was a bit disappointing, we didn’t like our main course. The breakfast buffet was also quite poor.
Very nice and quiet forest area around the hotel, deers and pony horses live nearby, friendly staff, a lot of space in the room.

The hotel was so remote that the only dining option was in the hotel itself. Probably in the summer months, this would have been a better choice.
this was just an overnight stay. The room was huge and probably the prettiest room of our entire trip. There is a residential school for disabled young adults as part of the Spelderholt 'campus'. We thought the mission of independent living/working was a really nice thing.

Bathroom felt a bit like a hospital (even without the facilities for wheelchair users). Maybe it felt like that because it didn't match the very nice interior of the bedroom.
Quite cheap for what we got (probably because of the low occupancy in January). Nice, roomy and quiet room. Friendly staff. Very nice outdoors.

"Cold" welcome. When I arrived in the January evening the temperature in the room was really low, and actually it took the whole night to warm up the room. Lack of TV remote control in the room (number 37) despite asking for it at the reception desk.
Very clean rooms & bathroom, which is a nice exception in comparison to all Fletcher hotels in the neighborhood, nice area around the hotel, very kind personel including students in the restaurant during the breakfast.
