Some intense noise that comes from people coming up this beautiful wooden stairway to upper floors . Perhaps a potential investment in sound proof doors would help?

Nice cosy rustic traditional reception, lobby and living room areas. Welcoming atmosphere, friendly and helpful reception. Best view from restaurant hall with 24/7 available cafe and hot bev vending supply . Nice place best location next to parking.

Wasn't there long enough to find anything didn't like. Except rain which couldn't get helped . Just needed more pillows so I could sit up to read. And open windows for air or have fan

We absolutely loved the StrandHotel! We felt at home and our kids had a blast. The coffee and hot chocolate corner was an excellent part of every day. The area had so many restaurant options and the beach was beautiful! Our family room was so wonderful. It had plenty of room for our family of 5 (3 kiddos, 13, 11 & 5). The staff was so helpful as well. We hope we will get to come back one day!

The few drops of rain that hit us when we were sitting at the very nice terrace that extended the breakfast area.

Super charming old hotel perfectly located with a view of the beach and the broadwalk. The hotel is family-run and the staff are friendly and willing to tell the story about the hotel that goes back about 100 years

Fabulous location close to some great beach clubs and the Pier. Lovely little touches like a chess set and other games in the living room area. Relaxed, friendly vibe. Rooms looked newly-refurbished and were well-designed - we had a family room and it was like our own little apartment with a small outdoor courtyard area too. We had breakfast one morning over-looking the sea, and there was a good selection of bread with fresh fruit, eggs, meat and cheese. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The window was too little to get fresh air in, but that was the only disadvantage.

The only bad thing was that the room did not have an air-condition or another cooling system, and as the weather was extremely hot (30 degrees) the room was too hot as well, even at night.

The hotel is at a very convenient point to go to the beach and there are bus and tram lines to get you at the city centre in 15 minutes. The personnel were very polite. The breakfast was ok, it had a variety of choices. .

The bathroom was a bit small

We have stayed at The Strand multiple times over the years and have always loved the room we received. As usual, we got a room with a view of the sea and and pier. The room was a good size that included a couch. The breakfast room is really nice with a great view no matter where you sit. Breakfast options are plentiful and the cappuccino machine is bonus.
