Be aware steps into the studio are very steep.

The studio was spotless!! So clean, very nicely decorated, and comfortable bed. Within short walking distance to museums, grocery store and restaurants. Host was helpful and we were able to drop off our luggage for storage upon arrival.

The shower was different than I’m used to. The water got everywhere, but most likely that’s because I’ve never used a shower with an opening like that. Ceilings are low! The warnings are on point, but once you get used to them they’re not as bad.

Wonderful location. Close to both the museums and the central Amsterdam area. And, close to the metro or Tram if you needed to go further out. The trip from the train station took less than 10 minutes, and that was when I didn’t know where I was going. Comfortable bed, and a cozy room for the time you’re in it. You can’t cook, but you can make sandwiches, coffee, or tea. Lots of space to make whatever you need.

Beautifully renovated apartment in a picturesque location by the Amstel, with everything you need and the most comfortable bed ever! The street outside is quiet yet you’re just a few minutes stroll to lively bars and restaurants and nearby Rembrandtsquare. The hosts provided helpful information including great local restaurant recommendations. Late check out was also appreciated.

I spent a long weekend in Amsterdam, I can only describe the Amstel Palace as my home away from home. Superbly located, within walking distance to all I wished to see. It is a wonderfully decorated apartment to a high standard, and the hosts ensured that I had an impeccable stay. I will stay here again next time I visit.

The studio was a wonderful place to stay amidst the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam! The location was perfect: a quiet street with easy access to anywhere we wanted to go due to excellent public transport. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have had in Europe! The hosts were lovely and answered any questions we had very promptly, while giving us plenty of privacy. A perfect little sanctuary in Amsterdam, highly recommend!

Unique and beautifully decorated - great neighbourhood with plenty of excellent restaurants close by as well as a good Cafe coffee shop ( as in Melbourne coffee .. not the reefer type) - but if you are partial to that it was available close by as well. Also very quiet

The steps of varying width down from the sidewalk to the apartment was challenging but appears to be the norm for the lower quarters of most of the old houses in this part of the city, so we adjusted to it fairly quickly. Although a refrigerator was provided, some freezer capacity would have been nice to bring back items like ice cream from the grocery to enjoy while in the apartment. But, overall, no real complaints about anything important.

The location in the Amstel neighborhood was a fantastic experience of approximating life in Old Amsterdam. The constant diverse boating activities taking place in the Amstel right across the street from the apartment provided wonderful entertainment. We enjoyed walking the streets on both sides of the river and the various canals perpendicular to the river. A good supermarket was close by, nearly to Rembrandtsquare, in one of the large buildings currently housing the offices of Booking.com, The apartment was very nicely renovated, and the bed and other furnishings were wonderful. Although we did not meet the hosts personally, their email instructions for checking in and out were excellent and they included some nice welcoming touches. It was a pleasant walk to a large choice of restaurants, the Flower Market and public transportation.

We loved the location! Easy to walk and stroll through the canals and take any public transportation! It has old world charm with modern amenities! It was lovely to sit and read in the evening and the hosts are very gracious! Nice to feel like we had a home in Amsterdam rather than just a hotel room.

A few steep, narrow steps to gain entry to the apartment gave me a fright when I first arrived as I have a knee injury, however it was manageable. I didn’t have any problem with the low ceiling, though anyone a bit over 180 cm might not have as much clearance.

It’s a lovely space, comfortable and spacious, close to public transport (or walking distance for the fit) to access places of interest. The bed was sooo comfortable, instant hot water in the shower, its location on the Amstel Canal was picturesque and serene. The owners were very considerate to ensure I had everything I needed and were quick to respond to my queries.
