Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt could be more buggy/wheelchair accessible but it's part of the building architecture so I wouldn't hold it against. We loved our stay here regardless.
Great location for family trip, quiet area but still close enough to easily bike in to town with the toddler in seat. We had a great time here - the two floor studio room was perfect for our needs, the staff were fantastic, the food at the restaurant is amazing.

United KingdomWe felt the duplex studio should have robes as you would always be sharing with others. Whilst toiletry range is of great quality, would have expected a broader range such body lotion and cotton buds/ pads. Have always had these provided at similar level hotels and as such did not pack for this trip. Range of options on room service is limited.
Loved the architecture and interior design of the building. The duplex studio was unique and huge window was a lovely feature giving the wow factor to the room. Breakfast was exceptional.

United KingdomCould have done with bedroom air conditioning (the room a little too warm, I had to leave the window open all of the time), but no major issues.
The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly. The shower had great pressure but there wasn't a bath. The. The hotel is within a 3 minute walk to the tram stops and from there a 10 minute ride.brings you to the main rail station and city centre.

United StatesThe light location in the room was a little weird and our phone wasn't working well but not a huge inconvenience. The location was good but it would have been nicer to be a little close to the city center.
The property was beautiful, the room was spacious and we got an upgrade which was lovely. The restaurant and bar were delicious. I love how hotels look and the design was so good. The art was great and architecture was lovely.

United Statesnothing. We loved the hotel and location.
located in a quiet neighborhood but just two stops away on the tram to city central. We traveled with our kids and loved the neighborhood. Really nice place to walk at night and explore. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the biggy bunk room was large enough to comfortably fit my husband and I and our two college age boys. Staff were wonderful and were always available to answer questions. Dinner and drinks were excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

GreeceFirstly, that it is a so expensive hotel and you have to tell in the reception at least one day before, whenever you want to have your room cleaned… else, they don’t clean your room.. Secondly and more important disadvantage is the service of the breakfast.. they don’t have a buffet! Everything is served on the table! So, my family (2 adults and 2 children) every morning we spend at least 2 hours in the breakfast (!) as the few waiters couldn’t handle to serve all the people at the same time… Also, they didint write down the order, so they forgot the half of them… So, for us for example that we have been visiting Amsterdam only for 3 days, every morning we miss 2 hours min to have breakfast… Anacceptable for such a high end hotel….
The location was great, close to tram and bus station! The design of the hotel was amazing! The dishes in the restaurant were amazing! Bravo to the chef!

AustriaWe loved everything about our stay at the Hoxton, Lloyd. The location is wonderful, close to the water, a wonderful walk into the city center. Rooms are very comfy and cozy, the ambience is great and the staff is very kind and helpful. Bonus: There's a wonderful Tapas Bar and Coffee-Shop right across the street. We loved going there. Many thanks to the entire team for such a wonderful holiday!

BelgiumThe breakfast took way too long but we got a 20% discount on our stay due to this. The bathroom was somewhat small in our room.
The hotel has an interesting architecture and design inside as well as a comfortable terrace in the back. It is located 1-2 min from a tram that goes to the centre. The breakfast was very good (you could order everything a la carte and the choice was like at a good brunch place). The beds were comfortable.

FranceWe had a room with windows on two sides and it got insanely hot - the sun heated the room up very much and at 7am it was too hot too sleep. I don’t want to complain about the good weather and it’s not the hotels fault - they provided a ventilator - but if you can, ask for a room facing the back or not exposed east. Opening the window was t an option because if way quite noisy outside. Again, not the hotels fault but something to consider.
The location was good - not in the center but close, with a pub and supermarkets right in front. Easy access to the center and the train station by tram. The hotel bar was great, good cocktails that were above average. The staff was lovely and the free drinks in the room a nice extra. the building itself is very interesting and the decor and overall vibe was good.
