Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelarusHowever, there was occasionally a sewage smell in the room. It might be a good idea to check and clean the plumbing.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say, the room was extremely comfortable. The bathroom felt luxurious, almost like a spa. And the view from the room? Absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend it!

The hotel was located fairly close to Rotterdam Centraal station and to other transport links that we needed to use. It was easy to walk to the other attractions that we wanted to visit and had lots of great place s to eat nearby. The room photo didn’t do it justice, it was much bigger than it looked in the photo. The fridge and coffee machine were a great bonus!

The self-checkout food court was extremely convenient with lots of options available at any time of the day. The interior of the hotel felt luxurious and the beds were cozy. I was upgraded to a bigger room with an amazing view on the 17th floor.

NetherlandsNo breakfast. There is only a mini supermarket with very limited things on the shelf (not only food, but also day use), a bit like an even smaller AH-to-go. Mostly you got to go out and find your food.
Excellent location, with walking distance from the train station. Stores and restaurants are very close-by. The room is clean, tidy and facilitated. At the reception, we borrowed an umbrella due to the rain, which was really helpful.

PortugalEven with our location, 12th floor (probably a Booking.com upgrade 👍) and excelente soundproof window and room. We need to deal diring the night with a unaccetaple behavior of street racers (tunning cars and motorbikes) making lots of noise with engines and honking the vheicles like in a parade between 11pm and 3 am. I think its a police issue. You and other hotels in the area should react. Bad for everybody. Your hotel and amazing staff deserves better. Rui
