There is no lift provided and the property I believed is for travellers thus there should be a lift for customers to carry heavy bags or luggages. The spaces to the lobby is quite tiny and the design stairs also quite risky for customers to bring up-down their heavy items to the lobby and provided rooms. Customers need to extra careful when using the stairs.

The location of the property is nice. The provided double room and the beds are nice as well. Enough for two persons and it was comfort.

The bathroom floors were not clean. There was small tissue papers lying across the floor. That was not very good.

The hostel is in a central place. You can eat in various places. There are some music joints around there.

we were settled in one room, but when we came back at almost midnight we were asked to change a room (worse looking room), it was very inconvenient. the hostel is tiny

there was no lounge. the entire building was perhaps 3 meters wide - or at least it felt like it. they also charged for towel use, and there was no way to get hot water for coffee/tea. really unprepared for basic traveler needs. beds were also really small for anyone over 1.8m tall.

good location. everything was really close, including the main train station, which was a pleasant 20 min walk.

The stairs are small, i tripped twice. There is no place to store your stuff. Very cold the first night even with the heater on as the window couldn't be closed. It was clean at first and then it wasn't and nobody came to clean the bathroom and there was to equipment available to do it yourself. No kitchen and the food is not allowed inside. 4/10 is actually more than it deserves and they re not trying anything to change that because it remains the cheapest so people keep going there.

I'm not sure if this is normal for Amsterdam, but at around 1am, there were fights erupting in the street below and everyone was screaming and it was extremely noisy. Little difficult to sleep after this, but I also realise this isn't the hostels fault. I checked out the next day at 9am, however my flight was at 7pm. I asked to leave my bags there while I did a day trip, and was told that it would cost me 3 euros. I asked "even though I stayed here as a guest and paid?", and the response was "we need the storage space for current customers. You've already checked out". I was completely shocked with this, and said I'd just take my stuff to a locker for the day at the airport. The guy at reception then turned around and said "ok we keep your bags here for you, no problem".

The place is located nicely between multiple tram stops, which all lead towards the main Amsterdam central station. There's a few museums within walking distance as well. The street its located on has a few restaurants as well as an Aldi supermarket nearby. The bathroom in the room is very new and modern. Each room has its own bathroom, so you're only sharing with the people in your room, which is a benefit.

I recently stayed at Amsterdam Hostel Uptown and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The hostel had numerous issues that made my stay uncomfortable. The floor was sloping, which made it difficult to sleep well, and the pillows were dirty. The beds were small and cramped, and the heating system was not adjustable, leaving the room either too hot or too cold. The narrow stairs with no lift were a safety hazard, and the overall quality of the room materials was low. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone. There are many better options in Amsterdam that offer comfortable and clean accommodations at a similar price point. If you are looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam, I would advise you to look elsewhere.

the room and bathroom didn’t feel clean enough there was very rude receptionist not helpful at all, he is young and mannerless. I ask him to send housekeeping to clean the room and bathroom as they didn’t, he said I am not going to clean the room; he was high I think didn’t listen what I was staying. very unprofessional person. you have to buy towels for 6€, so make sure you carry a towel with you before you stay there the duvet and bed sheets definitely not cleaned and bad smell comes if you sleep there

Very bad. Never go there again. Unless no more other choice. Not recommended. No luggage storage if come early. If want check-in early need pay extra money. The worst hostel I have ever stayed.

The manger of the hostel is truly kind and available to help you with anything. The rooms are small and fairly clean, the toilet in the room does not allow to have privacy. It's a welcoming hostel for travelers and backpackers, looking for a cheap and we'll positioned room. Let's say that in the end, it all depends on who you get in the room, if their respectful of the roommates

All the towels and bed sheets had stains. Booking description on booking.com was misleading. Very noisy and to think I paid 150 eu for this is crazy, It is Amsterdam so I understand but value for money was zero. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The only thing I liked is that there was a smoke shop next to the motel.

One of the staff attitude was really bed. Property didn't answer about the cancellation mail and kept the full money.
