We heard a lot of noises in our room (the room was located beside the lift and street) and in our opinion the matrass wasn't that comfortable. We also expected more well-being facilities (hammam, jacuzzi).

We were disappointed that the fireplace was out of order. Our first evening the sauna was cold. The pool temperature was also a bit cold. We thought the spa was heated, but it is the same cool temperature as the pool. Cafe staff in the afternoon were not attentive and would disappear for long periods of time. Our first afternoon, we waited twenty minutes. Our patio furniture had ripped chairs. I switched ours with an empty room next door. The light to the patio was not working and we assume comes on automatically if operating.

Very nitpicky, but we stayed 4 days, and breakfast was just ok. Not a great selection of vegetables, only cherry tomatoes and mini cucumbers, but they looked almost ready to go bad - either squishy or dried. Fruit almost frozen on a couple occasions, so they weren't freshly cut. Otherwise good selection of yoghurt/granola or pastries.

Quiet, nature around, great place for people looking to bike in nature, very helpful staff, fitness and pool area are nice, dinners at their restaurant and their bistro were very good. One particular thing we liked they were VERY cat-friendly - they had a special sign signaling to cleaning staff to not enter, and we were asked to let them know when to come clean.

We missed a cozy lounge for coffee in the morning.

Location, grounds and pool/sauna. Staff were friendly and helpful. The groundskeeper was like a personal guide with plenty of interesting facts about the estate.

Upon arrival the receptionist asked what time we wanted breakfast in the mornings. This to us seemed like then breakfast was included, however we ended up being billed for breakfast at checkout.

The room was relatively small, basic grey Devore and nothing special. Same goes to restaurant, nothing to complain about but nothing to remember. “Conference” hotel is it, not rally a castle stay.

The beautiful surroundings, nature hikes. Friendly staff. Sauna and swimming pool. We were lucky to have snow while we where there. Absolutely amazing.

No individual heating/airco system. Room was very cold, temperature cannot be adjusted. Based on ventilator stored wardrobe, it can be even a bigger problem during summer heat... Spare towels (we needed for our child) were so old that you don't want to use them except for feets. No shower cap, shoe cleansing wipe etc. basic stuff you expect at 4star hotel at this price level. It was also strange that no water (even in mini-bar for extra cost) was available in the room, although the fridge was running... Last but not least, coffee/tea pads were not refilled during room service. Small things but makes difference.

Zero value for money. There was a lot of dampness when we entered the room. It was a strong damp stench. The balcony was left open so it was freezing when we entered and took a while to heat up. The room had a broken window, chipped walls, old/brocken armchair. No refrigerator in your room and no minibar. Bathrobes and slippers rental... used and ripped apart! Cold water in the pool. No jacuzzi! What they call jacuzzi is a joke.

The room …. We reserved the junior suite with a specific request for a quiet room. We were provided with the junior suite which also had an interleading (internal) door to another room, occupied by other guests. This should never happen, tv, coffee machine, shower etc could all be heard. We mentioned on checkout and were told we should have asked for another room…. Who wants to change their room at 10pm at night. We should never have been Putin the position that we should have to ask for another room. We also filled in the review from the hotel direct, which apparently is reviewed by management, this is now 4 weeks ago and still no response received

Breakfast not included when staff told me it was included. This hotel promotes itself as a high end facility. In reality one nights bed breakfast and evening meal for 2 cost me €320. This is way overpriced for what it is. I won’t be stopping here again nor will any of my associated or family.

I've taken the hotel because of the big swimming pool. However, it wasn't functioning. And all the fitness area was closed too. No refund was made. Breakfast from 08:00 (!!!): extremely bad timing for the people that need something to do in the morning. No travel packs with some food were proposed. Actually, I had to take some bread in the bakery in Aachen to eat something in the morning. It is NOT B&B. The hotel doesn't suit business travellers.

Nice location in the countryside with some fresh air. Beautiful lake in the territory. Enough parking places.
