Diner at the restaurant, we had to take the rest of the food in your room (Corona measure, it was 22h), while you waited more than 40 minutes to be served. The tray with the rest of food was never cleaned in the room (from Friday to Sunday), also not when we left it for room service to take it away. And no, sorry, corona is not an excuse for everything.. Dirty coffee cups in the room upon arrival. Location is not great (30 min walk to the center).

The bedroom was nice, comfy beds. Spa area with the pool new and clean, breakfast was OK.

They do not have the correct pictures with the room you are actually booking. Beautiful pictures of what the room should be like, but you end up in a completele different room. Fraudulent or misleading at best. Even when sharing it with staff, where they see for themselves what the problem is, they say they will come back to it, they don't and when asking they deny that there is a problem. Seems like company policy. Never more.

Everything. The hotel exceeded expectations, great facilities such as pool and sauna, a well equipped gym as far as hotel gyms go. The restaurant was also amazing, ate there during the whole stay as I felt no need to go elsewhere.

I have been to another Van der Valk and this one didn’t disappoint. The convenience in the location. The opportunity to charge our electric vehicles without worry was a godsend after missing our flight to Switzerland because of finding charging stations that would work. The rooms felt like a bunch of angels came down and told us to just relax and enjoy what Maastricht/NL has to offer without any worries. The front desk staff were exceptional as they went above and beyond taking care of the family.

It had been stinking while whole staying. Complainted recieved but neither feedback nor action taken. At last a person in charge told me to go to another hotel that he will pay for the room and transportation. That made me so mad that I stopped complaining because I realized that it would be useless.

We took the formule park & fly. But there was no parking. Due to a party, all parking was taken. Even by those not staying in the hotel, only at the party. We were asking to park on the street. They mentioned that was illegal, but we probably would not get a fine. We could park the car back after 23h as by then some people at the party would leave. We take this formule because we had early flight at 4h. So I don't want to park illegal and don't want to repark the car after 23, when I want to be in bed. Reception was not friendly or empathic at all.
