How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

As large and as big as it is - We asked for a shower chair as I am disabled - first the staff at the reception - front desk did not seem to know and then said we have only 2 - a plastic chair costing 10-20 Euro - very easy to store was a shame - I had to be inventive and did not miss the use of those facilities. Second there are too few staff for the size of the gusts in serving the breakfast - during all our stay we had to clean our table move the plates and all the cups - find our cutlery and napkins - seeing the staff so stretched and over working was felt deeply unfair to ask them to clean or prepare the table - these was on all the days of our stay. Given the status and the size of the hotel and being in Netherlands - the staff did not look conversant well in English plus not well oriented to the need of their gusts - we could not fault their politeness and hard work but did not felt connected as we do through our travel across the glob
The place the facility is excellent - free parking is a bonus - room very large shower room separate from the toilet is excellent idea

We arrived late in the evening due to work related projects and the horrible weather but we weren't able to get a late check-out so we didn't have enough rest unfortunately.

Poorly-designed bathrooms - the water from the shower ran all over the bathroom floor, and the wash basin was way too high - built for giants! Dinner menu not very imaginative (especially the vegetarian options) and expensive for what it was.

Nothing negative to say apart from the booking process. I booked though booking.com (which is a Dutch company), the hotel is located in the Netherlands and is Dutch and I live and use Dutch debit cards. But this hotel chain has decided to not accept Dutch debit cards though booking.com system. I use booking.com for most of my travels and typically I avoid this chain simply because of this ridiculous setup.
Great breakfast, very nice, clean and spacious rooms. Access is really good, close to the motorway but you can't hear it. Plenty of parking on site.

Had a problem getting out of the parking lot, needed to get back inside the lobby to have staff open the gate,inconvenient as it was raining also.

Very modern hotel. Nice and comfy beds, quiet rooms, very nice pool, sauna. Very, very nice and helpful stuff. Always with a smile. If you travel by - it is nice place to stay.

- You have to drive a while to get there. - The toilets are not in the bathroom :) It's a bit hard to get used to
- Quick and uncomplicated check-in - Very friendly and competent staff - free parking spaces - professional gym - pool, sauna, steam bath and snow room - very comfortable beds - beautiful view from the higher floors - chic restaurant and bar with own creations - Could use gym and sauna even after check-out - Sky bar on the 16th floor
