Our stay at the hotel was a wonderful experience. The place was beautiful and picturesque with green grasslands, canals and cows grazing. Our room was very nice and cozy, it smelled of wood and the view was great. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, it was our pleasure to meet Coby and Inge. Lastly the restaurant was incredible, everything was tasty and the fried potatoes were the best we have ever had by a longshot.

The room was absolutely beautiful and the surroundings were also breathtaking, we went for a 2 hour walk right after arriving because of how amazed we were at the scenery! And the staff was extremely friendly and even let us check in later than stated in the schedule because we has heavy traffic and had a 4 hour delay in our trip.

Like lots of places in the Netherlands, just be aware the stairs are a little steep if you are not steady on your feet.

This was my favorite accommodation in my ten day solo bike tour, staying at a combination of inns, hotels, and airbnbs. The stay was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was warm and inviting. And the food was delicious in the restaurant!

I stayed here for one night, prior to a triathlon race. it's very charming, in a part of The Netherlands you won't come that often. It's situated next to water, charming houses and very very quiet. Great reception, super friendly staff and the went the extra mile for to make me comfortable and prepare appropriate food for me. Lovely stay here, glad I did this.

What a find! In a lovely village, so close to Edam and Purmerend, with plenty of countryside walking/cycling all around. Very relaxed and comfortable place, rooms clean and comfy, and nothing too much trouble for Lisa and her lovely team. We asked to change to softer pillows which was done immediately with no problem. And the breakfast was absolutely amazing!! Best continental breakfast I've had! They had thought of everything and so beautifully laid out! So nice!!

If you stay in the accomodation beware of really steep wooden steps up to the room!

This is a beautiful old hotel/restaurant in the countryside away from the noise of Amsterdam yet still close enough for day trips. The rooms were comfortable, the food outstanding and the staff just gorgeous. On day trips to Amsterdam, we took the P+R from Amsterdam Noord where it was only 1 euro for parking and only 3 metro stops to the centre of Amsterdam.

Nothing of significance, except the logical fact that the building is 200+ years old and has wooden floors and walls. So not the kind of place to throw a party, but great for relaxing :-)

We booked this place to visit Amsterdam. The 200-year-old hotel is in the middle of the fields, but you're just 20 minutes away by car from P+R Amsterdam Noord, where metro takes you to the centre. First and most important: the owner and her staff are exceptional! The welcome was very warm, and everything was being done to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast is among the best I've ever had: a table covered just for the two of us and at the time requested, with freshly baked oven rolls, fresh juice, coffee, cheese and ham, an egg, cereals... Rooms are charming and you wake up to the sound of birds outside. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we are certainly coming back!

An absolutely charming restaurant with rooms. Lisa and Kobe were superb hosts, you got fed enough breakfast to keep you going all day, the evening meal I had on the one day Lisa was cooking was superb and the location was about as idyllic as it gets - quiet, great views, very relaxing. A wee gem of a place with a great welcome.

We absolutely loved our stay! The staff, facilities, and location exceeded our expectations and we were sad to have only stayed one night! The entire staff is available and friendly, the room is clean , quiet and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs and enjoyed it very much. We felt very welcomed and safe, we know that we will return someday!
