How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only conz is the lack of luggage room but this isn’t an issue as you can use lockers at the station 10 mins away.
The owners are really nice and helpful! The place is very modern and clean. Everything needed is provided without charge; even soap and earplug which is great.

The host could be restrictive on leaving luggages after checkout if the place is busy so that guests don't feel cramped.
Recommend it if you are in Stavanger. The host speaks Espanol. Clean, sizable room, good mattress with individual curtain and towel provided. On a quiet street, just 2 streets from shopping and restaurant hubs.

The showers didn't have soap /shampoo
Friendly, clean and modern. I only used the bed and none of the common rooms so can't comment on those but overall nice

The location is excellent and the centre is within walking distance. The accommodation is lovingly furnished and well equipped.

All in all not a bad thing to say about the place very well done out for a hostel it was great for me to stop over before my plane home to Scotland. Thanks you to the owners

There was no staff (but that's the trend nowadays), small rooms
Nice rooms, everything you need for cooking, space to dry your clothes, nice roommates. It's near the city centre and the local station so perfect location

The door works on code, but the music when typing code and opening doors is really loud, can bother sleep. The two rooms in the first floor are actually one room, separated by a curtain, and it is a bit inconvenient, because the light is the same for both rooms - but when I was staying, people were not loud and they were very nice, so it wasn't a problem
Great equiped 2 kitchens - has sugar, salt, tea, coffee, water heater, fridge, microwave, oven, stove and all the dishes you need for cooking. Great information about the main atractions, really recomend the hike to Preikestolen, it is accesible by tourist bus.

The location is walking distance to most things, very central, but without the noise of the centre. Owners are really nice nad helpful people. The place is clean, the bonus is a good and well equipped kitchen and a little living room to chill in.

Some storage / areas to put your belongings in the rooms would be nice :)
Was so lovely to have a nice bathroom with an actual bath mat after 2 months of staying in hostels. The accommodation felt like a house and cooking in the kitchen was lovely. Also thought it was very generous that the hosts offer tea, coffee, sugar, salt, cooking oil etc - no where else offer those!!!

Space is quite small but it's ok for the price and location. Didn't feel like hostel, more like an apartment, which is good.
Good location, staff was helpful when the door wasn't working. My stuff had been organised while I was away.

It's similar to an hostel and you can hear a lot from the room, because it isn't soundproof. But in general the other travellers respect the curfew.
The emplacement is perfect and the owner are there at anytime if there is a problem. The rules in place make it really easy to do the check-in, to stay there and to do the checkout

Maybe a locker would have been nice, since it is a shared room, leaving the valuables in the room was not an option. Even though every one was very nice 😊
The beds Ere very comfortable. And the location was perfect. The kitchen had everything that one could need 😊
