Corridors were a bit of a maze, so difficult to navigate (though understandable for the building).

Amazing breakfast, in the beautiful fresco room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location right in the middle of Bergen.

Breakfast is Ok but the price is expensive for what you really get. Food was not even warm. For what you pay you expect more.

The location is very good. Very easy to move around with options for dinner and lunch.

Can't think of anything! It's not luxurious, but comfortable and good value.

Terrific location, easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the funicular. Beautiful restaurant with simple but good food and nice wines. Room was spare but comfortable, LOVED the heated bathroom floor. You can also walk here from the airport train.

there is a weird feature if window shutters going down whenever you leave the room and going up when you enter. the sound id loud and unpleasant, so if your neighbors leave or come back somewhere at night you'll be woken up by the sound, if they do it several times, or several neighbors it becomes quite unpleasant.

The breakfast was the best I have ever seen. the rooms are clean and comfy, minibar is well stocked.

The morning breakfast buffet was over the top.

The room was extremely small with a view of a wall. Yes it is Norway but the price was ridiculous for a boom closet of a room.

It may be an unfair comparison, but we began our trip in Oslo, staying at the Hotel Continental, which was just amazing. This was the only other 5-star hotel we had booked, and although a touch cheaper than the Continental, our expectations were very high, especially has we'd booked a Junior King Suite (compared to a Deluxe Double at the Continental). And although the room was large, to me a suite means that there are separate living and sleeping areas, which is not the case. Also, "king" to me suggests a king-sized bed, but it was just a large double. There was something about the mattress topper too that made it often feel like you were falling out of bed. Although there were power points on either side of the bed, they were hidden under the side tables, which were very low and totally impracticle to reach from the bed. Even with the curtains open, the room felt dark and the overhead lighting was poor. Although the furniture was more or less true to the style of the room, there wasn't a comfortable chair to be found. The "sofa" was a day bed that only offered back support for one person, whilst the lounge chair was low and had little back support unless you leaned back at an uncomfortable angle. And although the bathroom was huge (and the towels nice and soft), there was barely room for personal amenities or any place to put things down beside the bath. The breakfast bar, although well provisioned, had a very chaotic and counter-intuitive layout, which meant a lot of trips back on forth looking for things. I can't say anything was terrible, and overall we did enjoy our stay. I guess it just lacked some of the sparkle you tend to expect when staying at a 5-star hotel.

The hotel building has a beautiful exterior and is perfectly located, close to the harbour and Bryggen area, and in easy reach of the city centre. The breakfast room (also a bar/restaurant by night) is stunning, with arching ceilings and lively frescoes. The hotel room was large, with a huge bathroom and bath. There were fresh flowers and complimentary water, which was a nice touch. The smart TV with built in chromecast was also appreciated. The breakfast room (also a bar/restaurant by night) is stunning, with arching ceilings and lively frescoes. The breakfast itself was OK, with a large selection of foods to choose from. The 12:00 checkout was perfect as we had a mid-afternoon flight, and the hotel is situated around 300m from the terminus of the airport light rail.

There was maintenance on our floor including loud drilling until 9 pm, which made it hard to sleep early for our early flight.

The front desk staff packed us breakfast for our early flight and called a taxi for us. The room had a beautiful view and was very elegant.

Gloomy rooms, none matching chipped china in the room.

Great location, easy to get to. Standard rooms a little gloomy with dark decor and very high ceilings. We got upgraded to a suite for a good price so ended up with a nice bright spacious room. No kettle, no iron but got those eventually after asking. Reception area equally gloomy but staff were very good. A good breakfast with all the usual Scandinavian fare although some of the pastries were a little stale. On the whole though a good experience and you can’t beat the central location.

The bed & pillow were not as comfortable as others that we had on the trip and I didn't sleep that well both nights. Water wasn't replaced for the second day, so just very small gripes. No milk for tea coffee, but we were given some when we asked. USB chargers didnt work, but the staff provided a plug adaptor. The gym was a little disappointing for a hotel of this level.

The room itself was fantastic, with a brilliant bathroom particularly. Breakfast was lovely in a beautiful dining room. The staff were all excellent.

We had a pretty small room right next to a restaurant. The bed was really comfy, but small detail - the pillows were far too soft, so hard to get comfy. Could have done with more pillows or firmer pillows. There was also no milk for coffee or tea in the room, but the team got me some. Very small things.

The hotel is a fantastic location and the building and decor is spectacular. We loved having a drink in the bar at night. The breakfast was varied and of a high quality. The staff were highly attentive, but not too overwhelming.
