Hollow wooden floors so hallways noisy with foot traffic. No USB ports in common areas or hotel rooms. Very few electrical outlets in common area. It was built before cell phones invented so not a complaint really, just a heads up. Lots of variety for buffet breakfast. No restaurant for lunch or supper. Down the steep mountain you go to eat in Lillehammer. 12-15 min down, maybe 20 minutes up with a full belly!

5 minute walk to xc ski trails. Very nice sauna. Free coffee in lobby.

The mini donuts, coffee, and the scrambled eggs were not good. The beds were a little too soft. The stadium lights were on late into the night, and then the building sidelights were shining into the windows, so we had to shut the blinds to block out those lights. I really don't like sheet toilet paper.

For the breakfast: here was a good selection; I would have liked pancakes one of the mornings; salmon on Saturday was a nice addition. For the room: we used the heated bathroom every day to help our clothes dry; we liked the bulk soap dispensers. We enjoyed having a sauna on site! Staff were always friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to walk downtown.

Perhaps those long, not very colourful corridors you've got to go through get to your (therefore) quiet room. A shuttle service from the train station to the hotel wouldn't be a bad idea

The attention, kindness and care of many if not all the people at the reception - everyday, not just when they moved us into a bigger room because I had to put my mattress on the floor (their hard beds being too soft for me) -, the breakfast, definitely the breakfast - opulent, excellent - and how it was more than decently clean

Birkebeineren Hotel & Apartments was a good stay. We visited Lillehammer with our friends and family and stayed there for one night. We asked for our rooms to be closed to each other which Birkebeineren Hotel & Apartments fulfilled. We loved the room. it was cozy and comfortable. The hotel has a lounge which was nice and cozy where you can sit and relax with your family and friends. There are board games for children as well. Breakfast was good and had a lots of options and variety. In all, it was a decent and lovely stay.

We stayed in the older part of the building and the rooms could use a bit of an update, aditionally you can hear every person who passes or even walks through the entrance door.

The building was beautiful and had a great view / location within nature. The newer part of the building was really nice and the breakfast was absolutely good. Especially the quietness was very pleasant.

The only problem was that the heater wasn't functioning properly in our first room, but this was quickly rectified by the staff when we notified them of the issue. Overall very satisfied.

The staff were very helpful and upgraded us to a better room when the one we originally booked had a heating issue. The location was also nice, good parking facilities and a nice common area to lounge in in the evening.

Amazing value with some great amenities. The rooms are simple and clean. Nothing fancy but that’s just fine. Because the location is a bit uphill from the Main Street, it’s very quiet. They even have free laundry. Their lobby has a lot of snacks and drinks for purchase and great hang out areas. And to top it all off, breakfast was also great!

The hotel is a little way out of town and very quiet. It was perfect for us. It was only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main street. There was a sauna which we loved. The breakfast was great.

I would have liked more vegan options for breakfast and the coffee was ok but not amazing.

The family room bunk beds are not so comfortable - double beds are very cozy however.

Very good ammenities (coffee, great breakfast, sauna...), good location, comfortable rooms with good showers. Helpful staff.
